I was wondering if it would be possible to use one of these set ups for a static fixed position gun. I'm getting an 88mm anti tank gun 1/16 scale and i want to make it IR compatible. It needs to be able too give and recieve hits. it needs proper sounds and and has to have a flash in the barrel. it also needs too be dissabled buy taking hits. Could this be done?

I was just thinking that one can use the HL main board and RX board withthe DBU, DBC connected to it. You do not need to connect the speaker to the HL main board as you do not want engine run sound. What you need is to connect the speaker to the sound card that comes with the DBU/DBC. That means that you most likely have to sacrifice the nit sound for the firing and the hit and destroy sound shares the same sound.
Else if you need a different sound for firing, hit and death, you can use the new DBC that allows you to use your own RX and TX. But the HL main board is still needed. If I am not wrong, you can wire it such a way that you can use a cheap 2 ch TX to run this set up. I am sure you can get traverse and elevationto work with the gun too.

Check out TANKHOBBY.com
His battle system was originally designed as a stand alone unit for static battlefield pieces like the 88.
Can use a Tamiya TBU or he has a kit to build your own.
Here is a link to a page where he converter the Denix 88

Darkith's kit is fine, but not all of us have spare Heng Long boards sitting around - like Swath
