Tamiya electronics question
Does anyone know the function for connector CN5 on the DMD-T03. If you know the answer do you also know how to access it (receiver lever throw or?)

I believe it is included to trap an inattentive modeler.
But for sure, do not plug lighted head lamps or the flashing machine gun into it, as it will fry them too!

yeah one of my buds did that too. i guess it is a probe and guess situation. ok just seeing if there was some intelligence out there (sic).

Might be worth opening up the MF unit and tracing the pins to see if their hardwired to power, inputs directly to the processor, or switched by FETs.
I'd consider opening up my Sherman MF unit, but it's stuck to the chassis with some seriously nasty double-sided tape.

Had similar experiences with that tape, though rubbing alcohol kinda helped with DMD removal and prevented any damage to its case. Now use little self adhesive velcro squares found in places like Walmart etc.

S L O W A N D S T E A D Y pressure is what it take so remove the DMD's. You can't do it in 10 seconds. It takes a couple of minutes.
I've also switch to Velcro dots to securing the electronics.

I always thought CN5 gave whatever voltage the battery was supplying as I think I used my multimeter to measure it some time back. I even hear do f someone using itto power some head lights on a Tiger or KT. Not sure though, my memery about it is very vague now.

Yup straight through power. i checked it this am. so anything that you can use pure power for guess can be driven with it (can't quantify amp load). I also was thinking of smoke generator as Borealis suggested.
