Default SDKFZ7

My halftrack is finally painted and now needs some detail work. Steering needs to be tweaked too. Its a lightweight next to the Tiger. Only weighs 125 pounds. Crew is getting some detail work also. Scott Carter of Faded Armor did the paint. If you want museum quality work talk to Scott. [link=http://www.fadedarmor.com]Faded Armor[/link]

OyVey...

2127 UKP plus another 225 shipping? Think I'd blow for Peter Mueller's SLT-50/2 'Elefant' kit instead. Gotta wait for a lottery win either way.

Nice build! Gives an idea as to how big the thing was sitting next to a Tiger.

If I can find an 88 I wont pass it up. I have a nebelwerfer to drag behind it. I was thinking something odd would be cool. Maybe a V2 on the carrage. That would be huge.

DAP:

V2's in 1/16 scale are made by two companies. Estes made their 'MaxiBrute' kit (the Atlas V is in it) and Imex made their 'Visible V2' with one white ABS side and one clear lexan side. Detailing on both is rather good, even on the fins (though I'd prefer a single to a two-part) If you want pictures of the two kits, lemme know and I'll shoot pics of my kits (have one of each) You might give it a shot scaling up from a Revell 1/35 kit, but its also hard to find, and the old Revell History-Makers one si smaller-scale even, but has a gorgeous transport trailer.

An alternative might be the V1 kit made by RepliKits, about 12 UKP but its a built-it-up flier for small rockets (Jetex) that get stuffed in the belly. A nice kit too (got one of them ready for tissue covering)

For the Nebelwerfer, you're looking at the rare Kirin one, and the VERY rare crew for it. eBay is about the only spot. Kirin also makes a not-so-rare PanzerBuchse 41 AT gun (28/20mm squeezebore gun) that was often seen on Sd.Kfz. 250 & 251's
