Im having a similar issue. Cannot get the recoil unit to run correctly. No matter which way I wire it. I have tried switching both leads but the recoil motor wants to run backwards. Been through the whole thing about six times and still cant figure it out. I know i have the pin out from thr 18 board correct. Everything else works great. The darn recoil motor just wants to run backwards. Any ideas?

To get a recoil to function requires three wires.

Your poles on the motor are wired to the RX 18 through the smoker jack, These have to be wired to give you the direction you need out of the motor. Once you have the direction right you consider the wire going to the contact swtich, "Negative"
c
Now you have to figure out what triggers the gun. In my case I use upward movement on the left stick(HL). This is the wire that feeds negative power to the airsoft motor. Instead I use it to trigger the recoil mechanism. You can wire this diretly to the negative terminal on the motor, or some contact switches have a post you can wire it to.

Thats all there is to it.

Do you have a diagram of how you have it wired Dan? This has been giving me a head ache for a month and I'm getting tired of the project and this is all that needs to be finished.
The AAF has the tracks for the LEO but they are Tamiya tracks, so you have some work to do too use those.

Yes I see. I did not use the HL recoil, I kept the HE unit, but I just may convert it over just to simplify things. Thanks Dan.
