Default Post Shading Question Tiger I

Hey guys, I'm getting ready to do some post shading on my Tiger I. I followed the tamiya paint codes, so German Grey is used as the base color. I was thinking of using a mix of XF-1(Flat Black) and XF-64(Red Brown). 70/30 mix black to brown and thinned 30/70 paint to thinner. Does this sound like a good combo?

hi jack, flat black is fine but use the german grey with it not the red brown, the post shading is part of the base colors, using the black go about 3 or 4 shades of grey darker than the base color then give a light spray using just the german grey to tie things together. hope this helps..........

That is what I thought but I got side tracked reading another article on detailing -hence the thought about using red-brown. Thank you very much. OFF TO WEATHERING!!
