Default start-up problem

Recently, I purchased a rx-14 board from RCcommand and I've gotten everything into place. Now, my tank will not start-up. Before all this, I fried my rx-13 board, does it have anything to do with the current problem?

Before changing board verify why the rx13 had been damaged.

You want to find out why your first board fried, so you don't have a repeat performance. IF you know you over taxed the electronics by stalling the motors, then try not to do that anymore.

Most times non starting is related to the transmitter, or the cable that connects the receiver to the ESC. Make sure your crystal is set properly on both the transmitter and receiver. Check the plugs ins on the cable. You may want to try a different set of crystals if you have some. If you do all this and are still having a problem, flip the reciever board and ESC over and reheat the solder joints on the three prong plugs. Just touch an iron to them and let the solder reset.

The switch on the 14 board is only for the smoker. My guess is you smoked the board using a higher voltage battery pack. These HL boards DON'T LIKE THAT VERY MUCH!!!!!!

You may have a lose crystal on the reciever board, or possibly the Tx, check to make sure both are seated properly. If no joy then check for any lose or bad solder joints on the main board.

try what panther said, alot of times the crystal in the receiver needs to be seated better for it to make good contact.. take the crystal out and carefully bend the prongs out just a little bit so it bites into the crystal socket tighter.. try that..

Do you have 3 wires going to your on/off switch or 2? How about some pictures of the set up and wiring? When you say it's not working, that's too vague. Do the head lights flash? Does the smoker work?

i tried re soldering the three pic connector ports on both board, i changed the crystals and i still didn't get any progress, im guessing the receiver or the transmitter has a problem. i'll post the pics of the wiring soon.
