Default Crystals??

What crystals will work in HL tanks?? do the have to be HL's or can I buy any 27 mhz ones??

interesting question. I have seen some german web-shops having some additional chrystals for the HL tanks. I cannot remenber where I saw it. So they are out there for sure

I believe that the Red Hawks will work. In fact, I bought the following on someone's advice a while back: Hobbico Crystal Set Channel 3 27.095 Red Hawk ($4.49 from Tower). However, haven't yet got round to swapping out the original channel 1 crystal, so I can't absolutely confirm that it does indeed function properly.

FM 27Mhz crystals. I use the Hobbico Red Hawks, the Futaba and some other brands work as well, it's been posted before which ones work.

Samarkh has used HPI crystals too.

Traxxas crystals do the job too!
