HL S&S tiger 1 track problems...
hey guys...just got my first set of tanks today from rc comand. A tiger 1 and a snow leopard....what a blast. my only problem is my tiger keeps blowing the tracks off or braking them. ive tried the pull a link deal but it still does it. i did notice the idlers and the road wheels are slopy the only thing i could fix was the idler wheels a littel but still some slop. is this causing the tracks to come off ?
what else could i do to fix this...metal tracks and drive wheels????
thanks...mike

Mike, I've been fortunate with my two Tigers and have never thrown a track in over a year. A common problem with the Tigers. From what I've read, wheel alignment seems to be the usual cause. I'd start by taking the tracks off and see if the wheels are all in line with eachother...
Is it always the same side?

hi,
encountered same problem with 1 of my tigers.. (plastic tracks and with metal tracks) but fortunately the 2nd tiger tank didnt have any problem at all.
as what ern said. its th alignment that causes the prob.. but when i change my idler to metal and properly aligned my road wheels... those probs vanished...
thats a common problem with HL tiger tanks...

Get the metal tracks when you can... RC Command has them for a good price. Great addition and really make the tank seem less toy like

RE: HL S&S tiger 1 track problems...
hi guys...since we're on the topic of tracks...I saw a thread on how to remove the plastic tracks by pushing a pin out...it's been a while and I can't for the life of me find it. Can someone link me to it or if you know how, please post a how to...my metal tracks is on it's way and I wanna be ready...I know there's some people that just cut the plastic tracks as they had a hard time on figuring out how to take them off, but I'd like to save my plastic tracks...

hey guys...thanks for the all your input. i think i have the idlers fixed but the road wheels are imposible to keep from swaying side to side. my guess is the littel plastick arms arent strong enuf to keep them from doing that.
skitt my drive wheels also moves like the one in the video.
thanks guys....mike

I have the same issue with my PZ3 but the left side keeps losing the tracks. Their metal tracks. The Tank has upgraded suspension. I think the same issue is with teh sloppy road wheels.

That's exactly what happens to my right sprocket but just slightly not too much like yours....how can we fix that?
