T-34 turret ring gear
Any advice on where I could find a T-34 ring gear? Has anybody ever used a HL gear or something else to traverse a turret outside of the stock mechanism? I thought about just using a 360 degree Hitec servo that I have.

You might want to talk to edoubleaz on this. He has successfully installed a WSN T-34 turret ring and traverse motor in his Sherman, "In the Mood". He has only just completed it. I've seen it work, and it is smooth and powerful. It has the precision of a Tamiya traverse and the power and smoothness of a HL traverse. The best of both worlds.

Hey Jeff,
Yeah I just need to find a turret ring gear from somewhere. I used one in my Bandai PzIV from a T-34 a couple years back and they work really well (other than being a little noisy). I'm trying to restore a T-34 that had it's gear removed. I haven't compared the WSN gear with the HL as it's possible they're compatible. Anyway, it's no biggie as there are other ways to traverse a turret!

Mart's offer sounds very nice.
If you still need options, I've got a spare Tamiya turret ring, guide rollers, and traverse motor if you want them. Of course, you'd have to mod them to fit the T34. Still, they're an option. If you need them, let me know so I can bring them on Sat.

Hey thanks alot Jeff. I went ahead and PM'd Mart about the ring. I'd rather go with the stock choice first before going the mod route. Much appreciated though... looking foward to saturday!
