Default Aftermarket M41 aluminum barrel?

Does anyone make a replacement barrel for the Bulldog that is more accurate?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi, is this what you're looking for?

I've already bought mine and would recommend them; very nice and detailed. Here's what mine looks so far:

Thanks Avant and welcome here!

I knew I'd seen it before but couldn't recall where. And that is one sharp looking Bulldog!

This is what I hope to duplicate for mine.

philipat:

Schumo's are only bored enough to ~look~ like they are fully bored... found that out with my T34 purchase.

Talk to BubbaJoe, he might be willing to do it for you. He replicated my Schumo T34/85 one with tubing, and ~very~ neatly done. Will go to him again for that kinda work.

WRONG. Only the Tamiya replacement barrels are drilled through/fully bored. It wouldn't take much to drill them the rest of the way (for the T34) and the M41 barrel wouldn't support air soft anyway so one should just stick with the stock barrel then.

Um, Panther...

I did not say the Schumo one was fully bored/through-drilled. I said it had barely enough to make someone think it was (about an inch) BubbaJoe's assessment was that the Schumo one (T34/85) was too soft to take a full-length bore, but perhaps he should argue this issue himself (I trust his judgement though)

And many custom barrels are through-drilled/fully bored. And those that aren't can be replicated with a full length bore, as BubbaJoe has done.

As for Airsoft... if the M41A3 one from Schumo is scale diameter/length, and was replicated exactly, it would need custom BB's, as its bore would be 4.75mm. BubbaJoe might be able to 'fudge' the dimensions to make one that could take the BB's... but as I said, talk to him.

Re-read your post, then mine.

I just wanted everyone to know that from just your one assessment that not all "Schumo's are only bored enough to ~look~ like they are fully bored" that it was just the T34 barrel.

All Tamiya full function replacement barrels are drilled all the way through.

Panther F:

If you read my post, the context of the fully quoted line says it all:

Schumo's are only bored enough to ~look~ like they are fully bored... found that out with my T34 purchase.
Tamiya doesn't yet make a T34/85 in 1/16 scale (I'm gonna be precise for the nigglers here) So why confuse the issue by even mentioning the Tamiya-use barrels? And I never said ALL Schumo barrels weren't fully bored, so please do not assume I did. Thank you.

We ~were~ discussing the Hen Long M41A3 barrel and its replacement, right? I only mentioned the Wasan/Schumo T34/85 barrel because BubbaJoe had replaced it with a full-bore one.

Gee, and some people get ~so~ touchy...

Guys, you want a full-bore version of any of the NON-Tamiya FF barrels, talk to BubbaJoe. Many of you already know his barrel work is excellent.

'Nuff Said.

Ahh, forget it. I knew it was a mistake trying to explain anything to you.
