That is an excellent job on the zimmerit! Ihave 2 questions, what was the tooth count on the saw blades and what is the yellow putty? I am assuming the green is Squadron's.

RE: KT ZIMMERIT
Many thanks guys for your encouragement, this is my first zimmerit job on anything & i just had to give it a go, i might redo the green zim with the other product but then again i dont want it to look to pritty.
manchu9inf, The tooth count is 23 teeth per inch, I cut a blade into 3 pieces 1 x 3", 1 x 1"& 1 x 1/2" to get around the fiddly bits.
Yes the green is squadron, dont use it because it goes off to quick & is very toxic, the yellow putty is Tam polyester putty this putty is great & it takes about 10 to 20 minutes to go off depending on how much hardener you use, just use a spatula to apply 1mm to 1.5mm of paste to the part then hold the saw at 90 degrease and off you go & it can be scraped off unlike the squad which eats into the plastic, also mark out the patern first in lead pencil, BTW i think the Tam putty is the same as bog or bondo used in the auto motive industry & would be fare cheaper to buy.

RE: KT ZIMMERIT
I think that it would have been applied over the entire side, say you had a guard removed then you have a chance someone might attach a magnetic mine to that area, many Tigers had one or two missing they get ripped off & im under the impression that the crews removed one or two to make it easyer to clime aboard & when the zimmerit was applied in the factory I dont think they would have had the time to mask that area off just slap it on and get it out in to the field, just my 2 cents.
