Here is a 10 minute video of a fully restored Sherman. They have this thing motoring along the hiway at 60 kph, which is about 36 MPH. What great commuter vehicle!!!!!

Thanks for posting! Wasn't looking at first and heard the diesels. Then saw the A1 hull and thought there 2 tanks in the video, they just plopped in the A2s motors and made a great runner! Cool!!!

Great video,, thanks. A1's were always a bit faster as they were lighter..but you give it an engine swap, all new parts and absolutely no combat load and it should move out smartly. Shifting was abnormally smooth....would like to see more if the interrior.

Rubber heats up quick and metal expands when hot. When hauling Hazmat in a truck I have to stop every 150 miles and 3 hours and check. Its better to stop and check something than have a part fly off at speed.

The rubber on the road wheels will separate if they get too hot. Happened in North Africa and when they first broke out of the Bocage Country and started gobbling up territory! Those tracks look new and they wanted to make sure nothing was loose and that the tread wasn't coming apart. They were driving that Sherman WAY faster then a real one used to go.
