I suppose if it was fixable and that is what they had, they would put them on. Not likely they would leave a piece of armor sitting because all they had were steel return wheels. I don't really think waiting on rubber was an option. It may have not come from the factory like that, but I wouldn't bet very much against this never happening.
Besides they are metal and they came with the metal road wheels so I used them

Stugs are great runners (especially with metal tracks). As for the Panther suspension. I've only driven it inside. I can't see any adverse effects driving it outside with the lift.

Brass 1/8 angle and flat bar solderd together and bolted to the hull with 1/16 bolts for the schurzen softer springs. I think it is one of the best hl tanks out of the box looks and runs good stock.

I used 1/8 angle and flat solderd together and bolted on with bolts from J.I. Morris co. good selection and prices i think the ones on the stug cost $20.00 for 144 the plate is brass. My first attempt was a p3 it was alot easer to build because the plate is just bolted on.

I want to add schurzen and storage rack, what works best for making the mounts/rack? I hear copper plate but wouldn't that bend easy?

That is not that expensive and looks good. By the time i got bolts brass and all i spent almost that mutch but i used only part of it on the stug. That was not out when i built mine and i would worry about breaking the plastic on a runner. It does figure when you scratch build it a kit comes out.

dark yellow is the base.
depending one when the stug saw action the base would either be german grey or dark yellow. when you paint them yellow they are quite light. But once you weather them they darken considerably

Dirt, mud, rust and oil/fuel stains prevail on AFVs so anything along those lines is fair game for weathering. When I sell a RC battle tank I usually do not weather them as that tends to be a very personal preference. It is something I leave up to the buyer unless he wants me to do something specific to weather his new tank.
Good luck and give it a try, Bob thecommandernj

It's here!
I didn't know the grey color was actually painted on, it doesn't look to bad. Everything works too. I ordered from raidentech and they shipped it out right away. Couldn't have gone better!
now, time to pick out a paint scheme...[8D]
