Default RX-18 + Elmod

I didn't want to hijack the other thread on the elmod, but my question is? Does anyone know if the rx-18 can be hooked up to the elmod unit? And if so is there a pdf file for the connections? The reason I'm asking this is I might get a HL Panther and I know it has the new board, and it would be kind of senseless to backdate to an older board. I have the elmod and was thinking of swapping it between tanks. I need to concentrate on my KT first but was just wondering. Also if I do go the route of the panther it will get the 3:1 gears, and either the lower tamiya hull or the asiatam (if and when it is released). I would really like to get the tamiya panther but since I will most likely purchase the Tamiya Pershing, kinda leaves me short on funds, and since I already have the elmod it will be cheaper. I might have to ask Phil on this if he has the file.

Cheers,
Wade

Hello Wade,

Hmm for what you want to do you may have to buy another Chip & Wire set, because you have the older system! On the new system you can just add the adapter! NOW in my mind but has not been test why couldn't you use the HL Adapter of the new system with the Prop version of the old system??? I have sent an e-mail to the EL MOD guys and see what they say!
I might be able to test this therory out this week! Check in with me if I don't commment on it by the next week, getting ready for a battle on Saturday and getting customers orders out!

Disposable Hero: I do have the adapter, but as Phil has stated I have the older style elmod which with the adapter that is meant for the rx-13 and rx-14. But heck if this new adapter works with the older style elmod, then I will be getting one of those and a bunch of the rx-18 boards for my tiger and kt and upgrade those. I can't wait to see this new elmod and the ECO version I believe it is called. Thanks Phil I was going to send you a pm about this, sometime lol. Just figured I would give it a shot on here.

Cheers,
Wade
