The gun on the Tiger looks a little crooked - I Didn´t know Carson produced the FOV tanks, that´s not too bad, they make some nice RC cars.

Thanks i will post my FOV sherman I also have the rocket launcher and i have a Marui Tiger I, VS tiger I, VS leo a5 and A6, and a VS abrams.. my vs A5 and abrams i put all the 1/16 smoke and sound hen long radio and electrics in them and now they are a BLAST! O and one broken VS abrams also.
The guns on the FOV are made of like a flexable hard urathane plastic.

I've never seen the FOV's for sale. Wonder why Target or TRU never picked them up. If I wasn't 5 VsTanks deep, I'd consider the FOVs, but as is, I'll just keep waiting for the upgraded controllers. Such a shame they can't put a switch on these tanks to shift between FOV IR and VS IR for compatibility.

would be good if FOV started selling the radio and electrics this way you can gut the VS tanks and put the better FOV electrics in them!!
Here is the radio comparo the FOV is bigger fits the hands better and is digital proportional with the two sticks much better for driving control and 4 buttons on top a much simpler radio to use .
Way better then the VS controller syestem!
what takes VS tanks to do with 13 buttions for normal driving movements only taks 2 sticks on the FOV radio!

The controller is much nicer looking than VS and probably better suited to big hands. How does the FOV compare to VS as far as build quality? What types of batteries does the FOV take? Thanks, Regards, JZ

Hi they are a little less quality as VS but keep in mind they are only out for a little over 1 year and there 2010 new models show lists of improvements being made or added to themn so they may be on par or even better made than VS!
for how much better they sound and control and with the better IR features and assesories and free IR target the FOV are much better in my opinion and i owned about 16 VS tanks and still have some.

they use one 9v for the radio and six AA's in the tank. the 2010 FOV tanks show they will now include a rechargable pack for the new released tanks!

I now have A vstank KV2, Camo Sherman, FOV King tiger and arriving today VsTank Pro German Tiger I Late Production, Desert Brown.
I like the VStanks better they seem to be well built the fov kingtiger feels like it is made out of thinner and cheaper plastic.

FOV positives.engine sound, price point and radio. Have at guns in there IR battle system
negatives, no mg sound, no barrel recoil or flash, barrel travel to far downwards( hits front deck on mine.)
basic color of tank seems to be the raw plastic with the "camo" dark brown spots the only paint.no replacement parts.

VStanks positives, recoil and flash, mg sound. FULL line of replacement parts. soft and hard tracks available.some upgrade parts.
negative radio SUCKS! hard to control tank with precision. engine sound stops whenever tank stops,not the best sound either.

I will give fov another chance with the tanks coming out this fall.Looks like they may have some cool features such as mines

More FOV features that blow VS away!
radio has sound on and off with press of button and by the radio you can set it up for 3 teams so each teams members can not shoot each other and all the anti tank guns and stuff can also be set up this way wich is great..

And the newest FOV releases say they have smoke and metal tracks and dedicated gear boxes so i feel they will blow away VS tanks now!

And about the tanks you just detail them a little bit yourself like i did to mine that's one of the FUN parts of owning a RC tank anyhow!
And the tanks have diferent start up sound and canon sounds for each tank ulike VS that all sound exactly crappy and all the same!

FOV sure blows Vs tanks away, But vs tanks also blows FOV away as each manafacturer has their on specialty on Rc tanks

FOV
Negative: dose not have realistic cannon recoil
Positive: Good engine sounds ( diffrent for each tank), easy to control , tank recoil & realistic hit reaction

VS tank
Negative: hard to control ( no problem with the upcoming new remote), same engine sounds for each tank
Positive:Hit reaction with lights, MG  function , suports more players in a game & good engine sounds  ( although the sound for each tank are the same)
