BTW what on earth are those 2 tubes above the mantlet? anti personnel?

How did you guys make them?
Inside those two tubes were a pair of large springs that were used to counterbalance the telephone pole for a gun barrel that the tank killer had. The boiler plate steel tabs near the "cheek" of the turret are also welded to the mantlet to counterbalance the gun barrel. I have seen Patton Commander's Super M26 at Danville and is is stunning. I just wouldn't want to try and drive that baby around town too much. It was very big and heavy....
