Default Looking For Spare HL Pershing Links

Hey guys,
I decided to run Heng Long T-80 metal tracks on my Tamiya Pershing. Problem being, my Tamiya Pershing now runs like a Heng Long. I was only provided 81 links per side. While that's the same count on the Tamiya plastic tracks, apparentlyit's too tight as metal. So now the tank wobble a bit as if the tracks are too tight, even when adjusting the idler. I'm not sure if this is the root of the problem, the guide teeth of the sprocket match up to the end connectors of the track. Maybe I'm being too finicky...

Anyway, hoping someone out there has 2 spares with the end cap's and pins to sell. If you do, please PM me!

Thank you
Tony<br type="_moz" />

Yeah, I may just get the T-81's if I can't find the spares....looking at the pershing with the top off, I'm not sure if the Pershing was designed to run metal tracks with out some form of modifications. The final drive hub seems to be slanting inwards, that wasn't happening with plastic tracks.

have you tried to add a link at one side i would loose them its not good the to much tension on the wheels although with ballbearings, you can put on the wheels lengten it with one or two links and wait for the other from pattoncommander for the second you'll see i works right out, goodmorning afterall

all tamiya's can run with metaltracks, no realy modifications need, its only in the mind ofthe owner what's need, the only thing i would recommed is ballbearings would add something more

I have T-84s on my Pershing and also had T-80s on my Super`Pershing. Since Impact tracks are`made for Tamiys, all one has to do is Dremmel a second flat point on the sprocket hub for HL and they run great. Metal tracks , especially my T-84s, are`a bit stiff, but after a bit of running, they loosen up. I just wish I could get my T-84s to stay black, as rubber tracks don't have a silvery look. [] The winterketten I had on my Pz III never` gave any problem, other than maneuvering on grass.

81 Links on the TamiyaPershingusing the T-80 tracks are too tight. Inside of the roadwheel before the idler is forced up against the swing arm and has peeled away a good portion of plastic. Good thing Tamiya supplies an extra set of road wheels. I may have caused some other damage trying to run the tank with the tracks so taught, hoping to cause some relax in the tracks......hopefully it's not a bent axle....or anything else. Pershing is grounded until the links come in.

Thanks again Bill!
