KV-85 has been handed off to owner and so far so good. Ihave included a few more pics to show the innards to the turret installed and a final weathering step where Iapplied a "sludge wash". Very simply put, Iused the bottom gunk from my brush cleaning cup and applied it with a one inch sponge brush. When dry, the pigment remains and voila!

Glad Icould help. Iprobably should add the photo of the turret innards after I said I would!

A trick that I use that seems to be discussed is lengthening the emitter cable to put it in longer barrels. Hard corps battlers always put their emitters in the barrel and the big boys (and Fireflies) need help.

My secret to a clean build is using another M.G. emmitter LEDand splicing the wires so you get the same guage wire, same style plug, and (in my experience) it always works. Ihope this helps and you can always get the M.G. for a few bucks.

Despite a few left turns in this project, I would be remiss if I didn't post a few in-action pics for your viewing pleasure from the SCATbattle.

I had to do that for a couple of tanks, one because the barrel was too narrow below the muzzle break and one, my SU-152, due to barrel length from the MFU. I also cut and lengthened the comm. cable to move the dmd further from the MFU.

Great looking build. it provides incentives for me to go back to mine and do more stuff.

We'll try to get some in October. I do video for a living but getting to it on the various battle days is a low priority. Right now battling with my Nikon D40 around my neck is challenge enough.

I did enjoy that build despite all the pain. That was a honking load of resin to chew threw to make it workable!

How about some profiline resin Sherman conversions! Can you say JUMBO?
