Okay,

Someone please explain this one. We are having a rather bad storm. Outside a flash of lightning goes off, and at the same time all the tanks I have fitted with high voltage flash went off including the Pershing I had in my hand. I have no power going to any of them.

What the hay?

Well just did a quick search and found maybe my high voltage flashes are not as safe as I thought. A close EMP such as generated by lightning can set them off with no power supplied. Since the circuits are no longer shielded in the case the chances are greatly increased.

I also found out the importance of having clean scivies ready for use. You have not lived until 6 Tiger tanks go off at the same time behind your back.

LOLOLOL That sounds really funny, but it's probably because it didn't happen to me.

Don, I think that the reason the flashes went off is the fact that in the presence of high energy radio frequencey waves ,gas filled lamps like you have
will illuminate. In fact, most larger radio transmitters like aboard navy ships and broadcast radio stations always had a fluorescent tube next to the
transmitter as this shows that you are in fact putting out a signal. And there are NO wires attached to the tube.

That makes sense Charlie. Still if you are not expecting it. Heck I though I was in a Steven King movie!

Don't sit in the dark with the lights off during a storm and you won't see this. LOL
