I am looking forward to this one, Were you able to add the interface to a computer so you don't have to mess round with a remote for IR and other board settings
|
Nice tight looking Board

Ohh boy! I might have to ditch the Tk22 and get one of these for the Leo 2HEL build. This looks awesomed

First TK60 pro-type board!
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/atta...mentid=2116356 the only difference to MP version are: -120A metal cap FET will be used, -A Heat sink will be attached to 15W AMP chip, And two more features will be added - PPM interface for most of 2.4GHz transmitters as Taigen Erik suggested, - 3rd MG sound and light channel for turret roof MG. such as .50 cal on Sherman. This is news to me..!! Cool!
Good work Clark :) TK22/TK60 to do the low level and real-time task, like track ESC, gyro stabilizer, and an open source hardware, such as Rasbarry PI, to do the high level task, like video and audio streaming, internet connection, telerobotic, target tracking pattern recognition, fuzzy logic engine sound simulation in CD sound quality.... If anyone here are interesting in this please let me know, maybe we can work together to spped up the development. Regards, Clark |
This will make a nice Christmas Present.. Any idea on price yet

Btw, we just finished new engine sound simulation for TK, the result is over my expectation, will fine tune it and extend to 16/32 steps to see how it performances . https://youtu.be/MV3pARCWvcM ps. sorry for the poor audio recording quality, my new camera, Canon 5D Mark III, seems need a external mic for better sound recording. |
Sounds good, can an existing TK20 or TK22 be upgraded?
|
Clark
With this open source approach are you thinking that any ESC could be used with it. Like the Sabre tooth ESC's. The rest of the programming would be on the Raspberry Pi, for sound and battle? RE New sound for the TK. The latest demo is on a TK 22?. It sounds much better. Sound never comes across youtube very well. All sound, I have witnessed on youtube just don't compare to real life. |

It's possible, but not so practical, Raspberry Pi is just like a CPU on a complete tank controller, not just a ESC like Sabre tooth, you also need ESC/Servo for turret and elevation, audio amplifier, some discrete component for other functions. and open source platforms crash, boot time is also too long, need over 40s (just image what what will be happened if a software crash occurred in your tank during the battle), consume much more battery power, so we just define it on high level and non fatal applications, like internet connection, telerobotic, target tracking pattern recognition |
Yikes!! 40 seconds could cause a lot of trouble.

Hi Clark, any updates on release date and cost? Would like to put a TK 60 in my 1/8 Tiger II.
