Default xtm 24.7 in crt?

xtm 24.7 in crt? are these good reliable engines? im using them for bashing and having some fun at the track, I traded a rolling revo chassis for 2 24.7s with 3 after market cooling heads, one to use another for spare. was this a good deal? I know the aftermarked heads will make it cooler but make it lean in the longrun and lean out but im going to put the stock ones on it anyway. opinians will be apreciated, thanks!

good or bad deal? depends on how you look at it. It is probably something I would do assuming the .247's are in good shape. I can give you my experience on the 24.7:

I had one in my mammoth ST and loved it. Plenty of power for the big truck. It was an easy to tune motor. I eventually destroyed it (broke a con rod and shattered the bottom of the sleeve). In all fairness, I was beating the living crap out of it by redlining it constantly while running it a bit lean....not to mention it was abused by the previous owner. My buddy who bashes with me every weekend has one in his mammoth MT has had no problems with his as well (last 6 months and he bought it used).

Overall, I think it's a good engine if you've just looking for fun on the weekends.

Another one? noo I already have 3 coming no need for another, so your favorit truck is a rc10gt? I have 1 for sale with 8-9 pairs of tires and a os18tz in it.
