17mm? Standard offset truggy wheels should fit it fine, both HPI and Proline make good one's.

No idea, haven't seen any 'hype' at my club, like all things, some ppl prefer product 'a' some prefer product 'b'. Standard offset suit my driving and my track so I use them.

Offset wheels make you truggy wider and gives you more stable handling. It lowers the center of gravity on the truck.

Yes to the first part...doesn't lower your COG at all tho...

Standard offset rims will rub on the Hyper ST. If you are going to run standard offset rims you will need hub extenders. Like these: http://www.hobao-racing.com/option_p...&Search=Submit
If you use half offset rims you dont need the hub extenders.

How is that? You are wrong. The wider a object is compared to the height (any object) the lower the center of gravity. The higher a object compared to the width the higher the center of gravity. Why do you think the wider something is the harder it is to flip or roll over and the thinner it is the easier it is to flip or roll over.

I think im with vnmsgt. its sorta what he said but my version skinnier tires will make a higher COG and wider lower b/c the bigger the tire/wheel the more space it takes up so that lowers your ride. and the direct opposite w/ the skinny tires/wheels.

The hyper runs a bigger wheen and tire compared to standard maxx tires....IF anything i would be lookin into a set of 1/2" offset LRP's.

yup, run 1/2 offset on the hyper... ohh, and yes widening makes it harder to tip over, but it also makes it turn worse. the hypers stock wheels are about half offset, so its designed for it, other kits are designed for zero offset.
