Default ST-1 RTR Must have/do's?

I''m going to order a ST-1 based off of the rave reliability reviews I''ve read on here and going to try a-main hobbies for the first time b/c of their pricing. This isn''t my first nitro vehicle so I have the basic nitro RC stuff. This truck will pretty much just be used for backyard bashing. Is there anything I need like an extra spur gear or a-arms to keep on hand b/c they tend to break? Are their any parts that are a must have/must upgrade etc., such as the rotary start, failsafe, steering servo and etc.?

Thanks!

If somebody know''s plaese let me know.

Sorry, I don''t have internet access time to get through 189 pages worth of ST-1 stuff. I''m sure it''s a good read though.

Well if it''s not broken why fix it. Just run it outta the box and see how you like it. You could spent tons of $ in parts and never need them. I upgraded servos, engine, tires and some aluminum upgrades but I strictly race mine.

seems like the "steering mod" is a good start other than that normal rtr stuff (servos, radio, tires of course)...
oh and ive read about a leaky fuel tank, keep your eye one that...
for looks wing mount and wing dont hurt either...

You dont have to do ANYTHING out of the box other than checking over all teh screws. You should not need any axtra parts either. Its rock solid all the way around. The steering mod is mainly used for racing but not needed. I race mine and have not needed to do the mod. It does just fine on my track and its a tight traxck. Im running the stock servos with different radio and receiver. Just get teh basics and you will be fine. Its a great truck for anything.
