I am toying with the idea of getting one. I have seen one run at my local track. It TQ'd by a full lap on the CRT.5s and is very durable. It did break, but it flipped after a triple, and got collectedby another car at full speed. It only broke the front suspension arm. so it is strong.

got it yesterday but not run it yet.it has some nice features on it for the price including the coolest drain system for when you get fuel on the top of the tank[i think]im having to order a switch with the futaba connectors and a charge lead for it in morning.the reciever box is tiny though and you need a aaa cell reciever pack.

still no pictures but here is the first impression-the little peice of rod that is used for the steering ackerman is a bit naff, its got no room to work on it,can just fit a 800mah shumacker mini reciever pack in the compartment and it needs a new switch(futaba connectors)the diffs are filled with about a milligram of grease, and thats the bad points.
the good points are it steers like a demon, the suspension seems dialed out of the box,the hyper 12 started straight away and me and a mate say its quicker than the force 12 in the crt.5 after a couple of tanks only.the brakes are mental even with the rtr servos,it looks cool and the exhaust is a proper one not like the cheap rtr junk on the crt.5.summary is the hyper seems better put together than the crt.5 for the money.and its £20 cheaper

Saw one at the LHS the other day.... they are FUGLY. I thought the tilted engine was supposed to pull the pipe in so it could be covered by the body, but this one just has a big bulge on the side of the body to cover the pipe. The first thing I would do is swap in a CRT.5 body

i think they look better than the crt.5 but i suppose beauty is in the eye of the beholde!!!!the exhaaust is much tighter in to the chassis though so whether you like it or not it is safer, also the hyper rtr comes with a efra pipe and the crt.5 comes with that pos pipe with the rubber manifold.im not knocking the crt.5 as my friends will still kick my hypers arse with that ab modded red dot in it.

I have posted some in this thread on another forum:

They are in post number 3, but only of it running, I couldn't find where he was pitting
this is NOT mine, just saw one being reviewed for a magazine in the UK.

All the geometry was stock, he just rebuilt the diffs with 7-10-3 and changed the stock electronics to dual ace servos and lipo + spektrum. It worked really well, he TQ'd a full lap infront of the rest of the field and the stock tires worked excellently on the short grass track. It flew really well adn seemed to be easy to control in the air. Also, it was very fast, even though the engine was still in the final part of break in.
think it will be a very good truck, adn am going to wait for the review to come out (beginning of September) to see, before make my decision - unless I just order it and be done with it. Plus it is my Birthday at the end of september so could be a present.
