Default shocks

at the track yesterday i noticed my car was getting chassis slap over the jumps, and i don't like this so i was wondering what kind of shocks i could get to get rid of this.
are they designed to absorb things on the chassis like STs are or not??
it's a nitrage by the way (and this one turns better than you expect)

This is something that will always happen, Truggies and Buggies are designed that way.

Trying to get rid of it would place insane amounts of load on the shocks.

As far as I know, its normal.

Depends on how much air you're getting too, there are 2 jumps on that track I race at that give the truck a nice slap every time. If you're slapping the chassis on small jumps, I'd go with a thicker shock oil and check the settings on your springs.

quaiz, do you get this with your X2? I was noticing it today on the 2 bigger jumps on our course, and didn't know if it was a problem with my setup or not. I'm running the stock setup.

Nah its normal, dont worry about it.

Mines set up so that it does slap the chassis off a jump, takes a lotta load off the drivetrain and shocks IMO.

Chassis slap is normal, you can have to much though, If your truck is bouncing up after the chassis hits you need some thicker fluid,

3-4 feet may be a problem, blown shock or leak, or too light an oil. also, do you land on the lander for the jump or on the level ground after the lander (overjumping)? if you land on the lander are you parallel with it, all 4 wheels hit at the same time? buggy/truggy chassis are designed to slap.
