I have a friend who is considering the Hot Bodies 1/8 Lightning Stadium Sport RTR as his first RC, but after checking it out it looks like the wheels use a smaller axel/nut setup then is standard. the hex apears to be standard but not the axel/nut. maybe im out of my mind but any info from those in the know would be apreciated.

The hex nut is 14mm as used in many MTs. The axle/spindle is 5mm, so any nut for an M5 bolt should work. HPI and Hot Bodies both make locking nuts in that size. I believe the E-Savage nuts work too.

thanks for the response. but i am curuios if the WHEEL is standard due to the small axel

the most common is 17mm you can switch it over with minimal parts, check the lightning stadium form on here for the list.
