Speedtechnitro has entire sections devoted to the cars and trucks they sell. Right now, they make a line of in house aluminum and CF pieces for the HF.

well today i just came back from the track, i ran my hellfire versus other 4 truggies (1 Jammin, 1 Kyosho 777, X-Ray and can't remember the other one), well out of 4 races i got first place in 2 of them, i'm very happy with my hellfire!
I just got a question right now, the steering of my hellfire is kind of slow, i've tried different flat packs and still the same so it's not the battery, i'm using a Hitec 645mg, you guys think i need to get a servo with more torque and faster? or maybe theres something else i can do? Thanks in advance! |

For a good steering servo, try the Hitec 5955. It's about the strongest out there and has good speed as well. Many people assume that a servo that is simply faster will work, but if it doesn't have the torque to push around the tires, that speed won't mean much.

k4.6 ho engine question . cant seem to find low end power.im getting killed on that part of track .and when i think ive adjusted in right direction.the next heat proves me wrong again.alot of smoke and engine temp is 230.is this engine known for problems.truck is hooked up just no power .i can only seat myself 7th for main.everyone asks why i cant get it tuned right.cant tell if its lean on bottom or rich.at end of 5min heat i have about 1/2 tank fuel left.please help tired of overdriving truck to try to keep in power band of current set up.

Recheck your midrange needle and, make sure it is flush (they back out by themselves). Also there is no way for anyone to tell you what to set your needles at because all engines are different and, air temperature is different. But i'd say to lean out the lowend a little more and, see how it runs, you may also need to lean the top end a little - 230* race temp seems cool for being on a it all race.
One test to see how lean the low end needle is is to pinch off the fuel line while the truck is running and, "cleaned out" and, see how long it takes to die. If it dies very quickly after you pinch the line your lean, if it runs a few second and, dies your close to right and, if it runns for 4 or more seconds you are rich on the bottom. this is a general way to ball park the LSN and, may still need a "tweak" from day to day and, race to race. |

ORIGINAL: hellracer - 5k and 7k in the front (depending on how blown out the track gets that time of the week) - 15k in the center - 2k or 5k in the rear 5-15-2 or 7-15-5 That's all you should need to take them by storm.. HI, i guess that's the thing that keeps bringing us all back to the track.. all the tweaking possibilities..
I've got a Sportwerks .26V2 with a Dynamite Platinum 053Midrange pipe, Sidewinder fuel, and O'Donnell 99 plug.. running stock ss carbon clutch shoes with stock springs. My local track is red clay/dirt that when dry, makes a blue groove after a few heats.. It is watered once a week (indoor) I noticed when I went to a lighter rear diff oil that the truck would "rotate" through the corners better, the fronts got some bite and the faster spinning rears threw the rear end around the corner...(at first it did feel like a drunken sailor, but quickly learned when/what made it get tipsy) I have to admit though that it was also adjusting the radio and mastering 'expo' on the radio that allows my acceleration through cornering to be more smooth.. I am a 'digital-driver' , a typical begininer driver with the throttle or steering reactions "all on, or all off" .. need to work on being smooooooooth... I haven't experimented with lighter in the center.. But I just might go heavier, as I went up a tooth on the clutch bell, from a 13t to a 14t, and now I notice the fronts really ballooning into rubber bands if I jump on the throttle too much. hey im new to this but im not to new to the whole rc thing. but i just got into truggys and off-road cars so i got a hellfire and i want this thing to rip. but im on a tight budget fir being only 15 so can some of you guys tell me what i can do so i can make this thing rip. i read put a 16 t clutch bell in it and a .30 os motor but i want to know what i gotta do and i gota couple questions just how durable are these *******s i mean i wanna jump this thing off a cliff if possible and i wanna know whats about the limit to the hellfire .

due to the elevated engine mount, I don't think there is a limitation. At least it was not mentioned to me when I had to pick a motor for my SS kit..
As for being on a budget... We are a one income family with two kids, and my son like to race too.. thats why I chose the Hellfire, it was already hopped up and didn't need much but a good driver behind the radio. Go with a cheaper motor, the .30 is overkill..... the sportwerks .26 was an excellent buy @ 109 bucks, and has plenty of gusto to keep up with the experts on club night. If you're jumping, buy extra arms and hinge pins... 2 months of cartwheeling my ss over a 40-foot triple has my front hinge pins looking pretty whacked, and I'm on my 3rd right front a-arm. (the wall is on the right side) Other than that and the upper deck/radio box, it's very durable |

guys what would be a good racing engine between 125 - 225 price range? I was looking at the ofna picco .26, would that be a good racing engine? or maybe some kind of OS? just give me some ideas, thanks.

yes, there are folks in this forum.. although I must say that your request is something that can best answered by the almighty Google.. Such general requests are often ignored, in silent protest to the inane nature.
No disrepect intended. I have found everyone is here to help, but you have to at least 'try' to help yourself first... Cheers. PS. the driver wins the race, the truck still has to be running to finish, and the hellfire still runs after just about anything you can throw it's way. much more than I can say for those traxxas models |

i totaly understand what you are talking about. sorry for any Inconvenience iv caused .but i do have a question id perfrer if any ogf you guys have tried have any of you guys tried and of integy parts for the hellfire because im think of buying some but i would like to know your guyses experience with them thansk alot

I wouldnt buy Integy parts, their alloy is not good, stick with stock or use other upgrades like from Speed Nitro Tech, they have some carbon fiber parts and they're good quality.
