Just checked and double checked today.

Yes the Jammin Big Bores do fit the Hyper.!

I would'av gotten them, but all they had was an open pack, and I am not about to take a risk.

Ill probably get them next week, keep you posted.

ye im looking for bigger shocks and noticed a diffrence in size between kyosho and hyper .

i may be wrong but carnt you bolt up losi 8 t bb shocks to the hyper ? wih a small amount of modification ?

Well I guess I'll have to wait on the bigger shocks, but in the meantime I really want to find some stiffer springs...

Now, the stock Hyper shocks are 16mm, yes?? How big are the Jammin shocks??

Yeah Jammin is aslo known as Hong Nor, I think Its actually called Hong Nor and marketed as Jammin, same with Ofna, actually Ho Bao , just marketed as Ofna.

I have no idea, I think SavageManSS would be able to give you the size of the shocks.

As for springs, I think maybe the Progressive Ones might fit.

Not at all sure tho, it just comes up when you type 'Hyper ST' in the search box.

Im really tempted by those big bores, but they arent threaded [&o].

I really like using spacers, easy, no fuss..

What the hell is wrong with this truck.!!!!!

Ive just switched out the brakes.!

And its making a clicking noise. [:@]

And there is no braking power.!!

Guys please please please if you have ANY TIPS on how to improve this damn thing, please let me know.

I don't think the Hyper ST PRO are the same size as the Hong Nor 16mm Shocks, I would say the HSP are like 14.5mm in comparison to the Hong Nor ones.

And someone said the Kyosho's are 20mm, that's hugggeee, so I don't think they can be that big, they must be around 16mm too.

qaiz, I have read from many sources that the brakes are not much good. In the UK many people are switching to Craddock Brakes:

I personally havent tried either as I am just waiting for my engine but was swaying between these. I will see how the stock ones go and see.

But I already have an after market brake set, Racers Edge Super High Temp's.

They're a bit better ive heard.

Ill take it apart tomorrow 'again', and try to set it up again!

Just trow in Fiber disc's, metal pads and an better linkage, the parts you need:

The disc's are not exactly the same ones I use but i Guess they'll do just fine as well

I have those EXACT same brakes. Im really thinking its my servo [:@]. As for the calipers, ive just switched them inside out, I didnt order an extra set, and cant find a metal set locally.

If I NEED those calipers, im gonna have to wait till next month [:@]

I highly doubt it, I used to run these servos in another truck and were fine there. I think it may be that its burnt out, yesterday there was a strong smell of burning plastic coming from that servo. Ah I need to check if I have the $$$ to replace it with another one.

If you run fiber disc you have to use metal pads otherwise it will not brake properly. I use an ACE DS1015 on the brake and on the steering as well.

The the pads are facing the outside, not the inside.

But than your brake lever will push into the pad material, that is a bad solution, if you want to use the stock pads remove all pad material

Another thing that I have heard is that the lack of braking power is down to flex in the radio tray. I saw someone on truggyracers put a hyper 8 fuel tank holder underneath to brace it. He said that it helped him. Just look on truggyracers in the Hyper ST section and look for something about braking.

Alright. This is for everyone FURUSTRATED with not getting their brakes able to work.

Whats it costs to do this mod : 1 set of [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/4499]Racers Edge Brakes[/link] , $17

What you need :

--1x Set of Racers Edge Brakes
--1x Plyer ( I do not recommend needle nose plyers)
--250ML of Nitro @ 30%, 350ML @ 25%, 450ML @ 20%, 500ML @ 16%. The Higher the %tage, the lower amount needed
--1x Sharp Hobby Knife
--1x Saftey Goggles
--4x Standard Ho Bao ( Hyper ST) Brake Calipers

How Long It Takes :

15 mins to an Hour.

How to do it :

Firstly rinse the standard brakes with water. Dry them completely and then drop them in Nitro. What happens when you drop them in nitro is the brake pads ( The Hard Stony Granite Thing), starts to oxidize, making it easier to remove. Let it set for about 15 mins, then pick up the calipers with the plyers and start scraping the pad material off with the knife. Do this until no furthur pad material will come off, and let it set. Repeat process as needed.

Once all the pad material is off, and you are left with completely metal calipers, rinse it down with a bit of water, and spray a lil' bit of WD 40 onto them, and dry down with a tissue or cloth.

Now attach the side where the pads were not originally located ( The side which you did not have to scrape the pad material off ) facing the brake pads.

Now would be a good time to open up your instruction manual to Page 10.

Assemble the brake cams ( I did not use the plastic Bushings ) making sure that the rear brake cam DOES NOT scrape against the spur gear . Once that is done, assemble as shown in the manual, and adjust brake linkages back to stock position

Braking power should be extremely good by now and all wheels should lock up.
