RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
anyone know if the Hyper ST Pro body will fit on the Hyper ST RTR without any modification? If not what are some other bodies that will fit? I don't want to get another RTR body, I would like a custom paint job.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Yupp the Pro bodies fit, as a matter of fact, they even come with pre-cut holes to mount the body in the RTR.
Example; Notice the holes http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/e...7/0caa80d2.jpg And the bodies of the X1 CRT fit fine, and Ive read somewhere that you can get a Mugen body to fit ( Go a few pages back, PatrickBW got one to fit ), and the Kyosho ST R bodies fit too ( Read it on another forum ). |

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
the crimefighter lpr fit with some modding. you have to cut off the little lip inside all the way around. i did some panther gators that way and its worked great so far.

Finally got around to taking out my front and rear diffs due to them leaking. And boy did they leak. Both Empty. That red rubber band that seals the front and rear diff to the main gear is a joke. When taking it apart I compared it to my brother-in-laws Kyosho Inferno Buggy and guess what. The Front and rear diffs are identical down to every part. The thing about the Kyosho Inferno buggy diff is it also has a gasket inbetween the diff cup and the main gear. So I order it and it was a perfect fit. Cleaned out the diffs relubed put them back together plus the new gasket. So for anybody looking to fix the leak with the front and rear diffs here is the part I used.
[link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/4144]http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/4144[/link] While we were at it my brother-in-law also fabricated some new gas tank posts as the stock ones just don't cut it. We made them alittle thicker and used small rubber orings to dampen the tank from vibration. Works like a charm. Here are some pics of the new mounts. After all the new mods went out for a test run and the mounts and new gaskets worked like a charm. Kudos to Jerzferno for making the new mounts. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!

would this be a good motor for my hyper st and has any one ran it before? I had a Jammin .28 but ive given up on it its had problems since the start always stays way to lean never holds a tune ive sealed the whole thing I run side winder 20% stock 3 shims on the head and called ofna they said theres nothing they can really do they said maybe add another shim sooo yeah in need of a new motor on the cheaper end |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Are you sure your supposed to be running 3 shims.? I think it was 2 with my Picco, and they're the same engines. I run 3 shims and im running 30%. Have you tested the engine for air-leaks.?
Take a look at this one, a coupla guys run them at the track, http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/22974 |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Spikeit - I think we got that truggy smokin fast now. Just need to tighten up all those fasteners and blue locktite them. And watch out for that double jump on the long back stretch. Dont know why, but that truggy thinks its an air plane? Keep it low and you'll do great this Sunday!
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Agreed. The Hyper has no issues. It's all driver now. And that double should be a triple now.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
i left it the way it was they told me to add another shim even to lower compresion so dosen't run as lean so idk unless ofna tech was wrong but im not for sure what shims to leave it at soo any one got better idea on that

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
I have the OS V-spec. It's got plenty of power, great run times, reliable, and easy to tune.

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Guys.
Can someone post me a pic of what kind of stick pack your using. Reason being, my old one died on me today, and nearly took my car with it. I got 5 Energizer 2500MAH batteries, and am gonna build my own pack, ( Ive done it a lotta times before for friends ). And I need to see how you mounted it. Im thinking 3 - 2 Formation, because a 5 formation wont fit right. Thanks. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
i just put the ninja 21 in my st last week. i was surprised how good it pulled the hyper. the motor was not
new, 6 or 7 gal thru it. it was actually easier to drive, putting the power to the ground was no problem. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
hmm vspec or ninja both at same price both sound good any better pros or cons or anything or both great engines i just gota pick one?
does the vspec come with the same carb as the O.S. .28 |

I usually charge it after three because I do not want to take any chances. I use the longer battery cover pictured here. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/13786 |
