there are 3 good reasons to change the Hyper tank... the mounting posts suck and allow too much flex which will cause fuel to foam, its very common to see air bubbles in the Hypers fuel line because its sucking foam....... 2nd reason is the tanks shape, its huge on top and very small on the bottom, which will cause the fuel pressure to change as the tank uses up its fuel, exactly what happens on a Savages fuel tank... The fuel pressure is idrectly related to the surface area of the fuel, more surface area means more pressure, less surface area means less pressure..... Which is why the best tanks are always square, the surface area stays constant from full to empty. The Mugen tank is square and holds very consistent fuel pressure.... You can tune around the Hyper tank( rich when full, lean when empty) just like you can with a Savage tank... but honestly why bother hassling when you can install a much better tank that will tune much more constantly from full to empty... As well the left side opening of the Hyper tank is ghetto and requires someone to hold the pipe side of the truggy to fuel the tank.... total PITA..its much easier to refuel with a standard front/back fuel tank....

OFNA and Hobao are very aware of these issues... some of their sponsored drivers are where I got my info from in the first place...the next gen Truggy will have these issues resolved....And definitely I am smarter then some of the engineers who design and develop these products... some of the crap that is produced is terrible and it doesn't take a genius to see that.....

i only put in the losi tank cause sometimes we have marshall issues and i did not want to flame out in case of a mistake. i still have the tank right here. the sideways thing is just different, with a long ziptie put your wrist on the roof and its open, no big. i never had any tuning issues with either tank.

Maybe I should word what I am saying here..... Obviously we each have very different standards of how much power we want from our engines... For some people a mild mannered .21 may be more then adequate for others a mild .21 isn't enough motor... Myself and others feel the Hyper ST is too big for a .21, and others like yourself can make due with a mild .21 like a STS... I can't say that you are wrong, but you can't say that I am wrong either... Its all personal preference.... If someone wants a smooth easy to drive budget engine they need to talk to you, as obviously you have good success with the gear you run......... On the other hand if someone wants to run a high end crazy modded motor they need to talk to me, as that is what I specialize in........ The crazy motors are pickier to tune, and they are much more sensitive to fuel pressure and air leak symptoms ... maybe your mild mannered motors didn't mind the Hyper tank, but I can assure you any of the big powered motors are going to..... We each are entitled to our opinions if my ideas and advice bother you so much then don't read it..., hate me all you want its not going to change my opinion of what is right or wrong......and your constant attacks are by no means going to deter me on bit, in fact it will only provoke me to fight harder..... So you might as well get used to seeing me around, your attacks are only going to lead to you being banned... I will have absolutely no part in any more childish arguments or conflicts..... I am very confident in my skills and experience, and I have helped dozens of people understand and tune engines..I have racers all over the world running my modified engines with great success, I am by no means the backyard hack your trying to play me as....
