RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Is your transmitter to close to the reciever? Have you tried to rebind? What are you using for your radio?
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
i tried it close and from a distance and still got the same results. im still using the standard radio gear. i know its pretty much junk but thats all i have at the moment. i put my old hitec 645mg in and there is no problem. it just seems to be that servo. maybe i got a faulty 1????? thanks.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Do you have a different radio gear to put it into? High pitching pings sounds kinda normal as a digital servo will pitch out to find its center but the twitching shouldn't happen.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
unfortunately no. just the junky crap that came with it. i just dont understand why it all works with every other servo except the 5955? think i might just send it back and get two more 5925's instead. they have been working a treat.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
The 5955 servo is an excellent steering servo. One of the best. Did you try calling Hitec support? They are very helpful as well.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
all fixed fella. i found an old tamiya receiver and thought id try it............. and what do you know....it works! it still has the high pitched buzzing sound when you move the throttle or steering but you said digital servos make that sound anyway and all the glitching is gone. besides, you wont hear that buzzing when the engine is running anyway. i also got the 5955 on my throttle and the 5925 as my steering at the moment. i know it supposed to be the other way around but until i get my new brake disc and pads(which should arrive in the next few days)i need all the stopping power i can get! :):) it actually stops quite well now, even with the crappy stock set up. i'll swap them over when my items arrive. so just a couple more question if thats cool
why wouldn't my 5955 servo work in the other receiver when all the other servos worked fine? secondly, i know the 5955 uses a bit more power so how much run time would you say i will roughly get out of a fully charged 1300 mah lipo? keeping in mind the other is a 5925? cheers for all the advice, much appreciated |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Not sure, but did you check to ensure the connections are clean and free of debrie. I am stretching here for a root cause. :) Maybe radio interference?
As for run time its all dependant on how much you use it. With both my jr 9000t and s I can get easily 5 tanks on my 1600mah ballistic pack. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
nickers,
check your battery wire where it plugs in to to the reciever plug in. that was happening to me and i found out that the battery wire was loose where it plugs into the adapter |

qaiz,
how much is the rolling chassies in the US? |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
I just got some LRP Crimefighters, and see they're not offset.. So now I guess I need some axle-extenders... Which ones, what size, etc?? Could somebody post a link? Thanks..
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
You can use 8mm extenders. However, it makes it more stable with large ones - say 15mm

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Lol yeah.
Here's the link : http://www.hobao-racing.com/products...ST/hyperST.php Rolling Chassis. I didnt want any of the stuff that came with the RTR, and over here, we only get the RTR and Rolling Chassis. So went with the Rolling Chassis :). |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
I don't think the Rolling Chassis is offered in the US. Only RTR and Pro Version.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
qaiz,
thanks for the link spikeit, that sux, could have saved a bunch of money if i would have known about the rolling chassis and if they were offered in the US. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
I remember when I was doing research on the ST that it was only offered in the RTR and Pro version here in the states. Don't know why they didn't bring the roller over too.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
yeah, that would be nice to have a roller in the states!
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
I just happened to see a pic of some stock Mugen MB5XT hubs, and they look extended... How much I don't know.. But would they work on the HST with the LPR's?? Thanks..
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
yup, i have ofna 30mm extenders with 0 offset lpr's. its a bit wider but they have 15mm too.
