RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
I also run a 5x AA 2700mah hump pack....
i install it upside down with the wide open battery tray thingy reversed and 2 little extender brackets made from servo mounts... this way the battery is VERY difficult to dislodge. For extra safety i then used a small section on inner tube and run that over the battery pack and battery cover thingy. So i know get side protection on the batteries from both the inner tube and the plastic battery housing;) i run all day with this battery pack NO problem. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Link to you battery?
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Snoop, same here, can I get a link and some pics of what you did.
Thanks. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Spikeit. I thought you said you dreamed up that paint scheme yourself? Now I see where you got it from. LOL
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Dreamed up would be pathetic if I did. :)

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
i got some panther gator tires on the hyper wheels, i just had to trim off the little lip inside and they fit perfect.

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
hi guys,i just finished the diffs on my new st and they are both notchy,i know i have to shim the crown gear away from the pinion but how can you shim something that has zero play.i mean the gearbox is so tight,i had to force it to close.should i run it like this and wait for it to loosen up.thanks

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
do any of you know know if a .28 engine will fit on the st pro, since the requirements says that is needs a .21 engine?
|

ORIGINAL: mc_chofo do any of you know know if a .28 engine will fit on the st pro, since the requirements says that is needs a .21 engine? They all fit. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
what do you think about this, i was using an hyper st rtr with a picco .28 p3 modded by my self, that thing was fast as devil, i sold it now i bought the pro version but have decided yet what engine to put it in, i want something faster than before basically with more botom end power than before, i was thinking between the picco p3 truggy block wich is turbo, a jammin .28 and also the O.S. Max 21VZ-B V-Spec-T what do you think it will be faster tha i had before? or better
i was running faster in all ways than the losi 8 truggy with an engine rb c6 now i want something faster much faster of coarse any of these engines will be modded. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
The Picco and the Jammin are the same engine. The Picco/Jammin has better bottom end than the VZ-B.
Flip a coin, I run both the engines and they're both amazing. In all honestey I prefer the punch of the Picco more. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
now i'm even more confused now i don't know what to get, if the picco .28 with turbo head and non pull start, or the jammin .28 now i'm messed up.

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
well i will give the picco a try again but this time with turbo plug. thanks i will keep you informed.

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Yupp im using the Tubo plug version too.
That engine works best with [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_23_33/products_id/18705]THESE[/link] plugs. DO NOT use OS Turbo plugs, they do not seal the engine properley and will cause you tuning issues AND destroy the button. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
qaiz- would that be the same for the 528xr turbo head as well? just curious
also, would the progressive springs from reckward tuning fit the hyper? there doesnt seem to be any that are made to fit th hyper ,so which one do you guys think would most likely fit? |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
ORIGINAL: hypabro qaiz- would that be the same for the 528xr turbo head as well? just curious also, would the progressive springs for the mugen from reckward tuning fit the hyper? I think that the progressive springs are for 16MM shocks, im not too sure about that, if you know the answer, lemme know, Ive been wondering too. The Hyper utilizes 14.5MM inner diameter, and I think those are for 16MM inner diameter shocks. Let SpikeIt come back on, I think he knows if they fit or not. Dont forget the length differience between the front and rear shocks. Lemme check the Mugen shocks and see if they can fit. |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
with the epa for steering, should i have the axles just off or just touching the c-hub? how have you set yours up? |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Ive sent it so that there is about a 1MM gap from the inner lip of the wheel to the lower arm, otherwise it rubs on the 4th shock mount hole.
Lemme know if you need a few pics... |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
well first race day ever at a club track
way stoked on how it all wen't Hyper st kit with jammin .28 and a spektrum got third place in both qualifiers and in the A main I got 4th place at the end my truck was acting up the engine tune stayed a bit reved up over the tripple and just messed me up a cuople times I hit it also I thought id mess around with my hyper 8 rtr ive just gota spektrum and hitech 35buck steering servo on it and crime figheters there were only 3 people in that class though and I got first both qualifiers and for the main I won was way close haha this one guys buggy flamed out and I was up two laps they got it goin quick and then where my knuckle srews into came un done so i couldnt really turn haha pited it real quick on of the guys grabed a allen screwd it back in and by the time that was i ended up like right behind him so we fought out that last minute it was *****en but only thing on the hyper 8 rtr is that engine dosen't have enought bottom end imo |

RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Alright, on a limb I went out and got a set of the Big Bores today.
Running 30 - 35, and the Chrome " Nickel " ' Hard ' springs, and there is TOO MUCH droop and sagging. Anyone know of harder springs for these..? But they are a direct fit. Still gotta work on the front, but at the rear, perfect fit. http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/e...7/b6e3cf11.jpg http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/e...7/e4dd70e0.jpg And a small comparision http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/e...7/35591f4d.jpg |
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Those are the CRT Big Bores, right?
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Yupp. Those 16MM's.
|
RE: the hyper st PRO thread!
Gaiz, are they truggy springs? try the gray springs in the front, blues rear. (TRUGGY SPRINGS) You should try Rob Bs set-up http://www.ofna.com/forum/viewtopic....er=asc&start=0 My Hyper st is now DIALED [sm=thumbup.gif]
