You may be looking at a cached version. I went there again it clearly says "now available."

Please go to:

http://www.sist-modell.de/index3.html

Look under NOW AVAILABLE about 2/3 down the page and you will see the reference to the 1/4 scale A5.

I don't believe Stephan has any thing available at the moment. He has demand for his products, no doubt about that.

Thanks, dvs1.

BTW, the SiST site says the 1/4 scale A5 is now available. I am really curious re price and specs. I hope that Vogelsang will update their site with the info soon.
I just looked at the sist site and it said'' coming soon this winter''. It has said that for 3 years. You notice how it doesnt say what Year'' this'' winter is referring to.
Yes Sist has been promising the 1/4 scale for years now to no avail. fighteraces also had it listed on their website. It would be a spectacular bird if it ever was released but i'm not holding my breath anymore. I did come across a thread where stephan was posting pictures and information of his progress with the project but I haven't seen it in ages funnily enough!

That aside, your doing great there DVS, we'll be posting maidens of our respective Fw-190's pretty closely together!

Thanks

dave

Thanks Dave On the fighter aces note, I have seen the 1/4 scale listed with prices but no release date. I added up the cost for just the airframe with all scale details, landing gear and scale wheels and it came to right around $5000 USD so even if it is ever released I won't be on the waiting list any time soon. If it is like the 1/5 scale it will be a masterpiece but it won't be in my future for quite some time. I will be jealous of any of its owner though.

Congratulations on the kit.

Here is the static prop you desire. This is the one I used.

http://www.fighteraces.co.uk/

There is a company called Solo Props that make scale flying propellors with the G-62 I am using for my engine the largest I can use is a 22" prop. Scale size is close to 25.5 inches so unless you use gear reduction on your engine you probably will not be able to use a scale sized flying prop.

Just an update, I'll post some more pics when I get little more finished. The other day I finished up on the swastica, got the white base down for the fuselage markings, blended the wings and the stab leading edges and finished up with the rlm 74. Its starting to look great, I'm really quite pleased with the results so far with this being my first plane I've painted. I need to get my nomenclature ordered and then I can start the weathering process and see how that turns out. I decided against ordering the paint masks and will just do all the markings and numbers myself. The only thing that I will have to think about working up a design for is the targeted bomber on the cowl.

I saw a cool video on rcu a few days ago and got me thinking about doing something. I just don't know where it is going to end on this build and I want to finish it up and get back to my Stuka and the HE-162 project. But I am still thinking about the remote starting system and air or gear driven sliding canopy. But the thing that got me thinking is the pilot and stick movement linked to the aircraft controls. While only able to see it up close and on the ground I really thought it was the next step into realism.

I saw that vid too and it's very cool. I'd be interested to know what method was used to operate the control stick. It moved around pretty neat!

I might ask the poster in Patty's thread. (realistic pilots)

Still working slowly on the 190 and I promise pics are coming soon. I received my nomenclature and needless to say I'm disappointed. I won't say who I got it from because I hate to speak ill of a company but it was incomplete and the size I requested was totally off, I ordered nomenclature from the same company a few months ago for my 1/6 190 and between the two I was able to use a good deal on my 190 to the size I needed. I think I will have to make a phone call to get the rest ordered when i can from either fighter aces or Taylor made as they seem to sell exactly what I need and I should have gone that route in the first place.

Currently I am working on the trim tabs now and just have to install the rudder one as the last.

Question I have though is what is the correct wing walk outline for blue 13? I'm pretty sure it is white, and unfortunately all I received in my nomenclature was dark grey and red.[]

Great to see your still hanging in there mate! My ESM Dora has flown and I just love it.

As for the walkway markings. I believe the RLM standard specified red, but white and light grey were also often used. From my research, it seems like they were not really painted on to aircraft all that often, but as modellers we like them them alot

Thanks

While I haven't really posted on the dora build I've been watching and I would honestly love to get one, I just can't afford one right now. I bet it's a fun one to fly.

Your right on the wing walk markings while not necessarily used on all combat planes they look great and add that depth factor.

FYI Pro Mark has fuel proof, rub on nomenclature for the FW190. It's correct in size etc. I know that because I did the research for mostly all of it.

Bob, isn't pro mark's for the 90-100" range vailly and Meister? The numbers for the load range on the gear doors is wrong, one side should be mirrored or reversed from the other. That is going by the picture on the web site. Other than that it looks good. Also same dillema I have the wing walk border is given in red and very dark grey.

ProMark has a size for the smaller FW. That's what I ended up putting on mine.

Yes the gear door nomenclature on one side is backwards. I told Jerry about this a year ago. Maybe with some encouragement he would fix it! Other than that everything else is good.

Just do like i did.... don't put them on lol. Actually in most of all the original WW2 black/white photo's i have seen, the wing walk outlines aren't noticeabl.

Have you checked with Getstencils.com? Vickie was able to modify any nomenclature I needed for my 109...she was great to work with...she was able to even change the data plate numbers so they match...I don't think a color change would be a problem either.

Heres a few shots of the current progress from the last pictures,

Wheels painted,
Prop painted correct color, hub painted and prop bolt drilled and tapped for correct size to accept spinner bolt (no more painters tape on the spinner),
All wing and tail surface straight edge colors blended into the leading edge of the wing,
Front side windscreen panels installed,
Trim tabs build, stenciled and installed,
Added black to exhaust exit area,
finished with most of the markings, still need Blue 13, Bomber and crosshairs on the cowl and cross on the underwings,
Most of the nomenclature put on, some will need to be redone as it is not the correct size.

Major work still to be done,
Paint landing gear and install plaquards,
Build drop tank release bracket, (while rubber band is cool I dont think it will work at 100MPH)
Mount cowl (blue tape is getting annoying)
Paint landing gear bays and flap bays,
Paint remainder of markings,
Install cockpit and front windscreen,
Still need to repaint mottling on cowl.
Install servos and radio gear.
