Hi Jack ! how are you ? I have been away from the hobby for a while, and just got back in through this year ...
for everyone building / finishing this plane, how are your rivets and finer details coming out when being painted ? I do note that the rivet and some pannel line detail is very fine, and i'm concerned about paint filling in any detail in some spots. There are quite a few screws and rivets that will also need to be vixed up a bit where they did get molded up 100% ...
I have some stencil locations from some decal sheets i have for those looking for these . .. i will try and post these later ..

The purpose of this post is to make as many people envy as possible
Holding the prop is my great friend Carlos Silva (Tuni). One of the best pattern pilots in the world.
BTW, watching the plane standing on its gear for the first time is one of the most important moments during the construction... it just happened a few minuted ago !!!

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt
I would like to share some pics of a Rafale cradle I modified for the P-47.
It allows to hold the plane in either position. Fine for transporting the plane and for assembly in the field upside down.
(And a pic of my helper LOL.)
The cradle is a BVM Rafale cradle.

Hi Jack - neat conversion. I just wanted to warn you about taking advice or assistance from a helper that wears a shirt that says 'Oops'.

Has anyone heard back from Inzpan about P-47 cockpit availability ? I have emailed them several times and have not received a single reply. I read that they were going to be making a cockpit for the CARF p-47, and i'd lile to order one if thats the case ... does anyone have any idea on how to contact them ?
also, what is everyone doing about wing tip lights and lenses ? landing light ?

RE: CARF-Models P-47 Thunderbolt
Do you guys have any technique for creating a rough surface on the walking areas of the wing?
I have tried sanding paper before, but in smaller planes. I think it won't look good on this jewel.
thanks
jack
