RE: Grumania Me-262A-1a Build
Well lets see pilots have landed in the states. I have got to say Patti at Propper Little People has done a great job on the both of them. Them look even better in person then they do in the pics. And the really nice thing about them is that they are completly posable and will hold most any shape you want them in. Also both birds are now up to a rolling chassie with working landing gear. Mitch and Ron have put up with me in getting the stagger and sequence as close as possible for the 262. I have to say looks like the gear from Down And Locked is a true winner. I have several more planes that are going to be getting the electric treatment. I have posted a short vid and will post more once we get the gear doors working as well.

Point well taken, but I like this much better than the gear going up to fast (in a unscale like manner) and slapping the top of the wing. Or with it coming slaming out of the plane. I did go back and forth about your very statement and spoke with Mitch about the speed of the landing gears travel as well. His point was "if you are in that type of situation you more then likely need to leave the gear up any way". An I do think he is right as far as that goes. I know that there has been more than one time that I have had a problem as to where it would have been better to have left the gear up, rather then having rip the gear out or tearing the plane up.
The only thing I would like to see changed with the gear is to have some type of setup to where if the voltage does drop to low on your battery that the system will automaticly drop them. Even though the setup draws very little from the battery it does only take once for the battery not to work and it turn into a not so pretty landing. But then again we have the same problem with air. If you lose air pressure some where along the way in flight and you dont have a system to detect it the same thing will happen, a not so nice landing.

If you are coming in with gear up I can think of no better aircraft . Those nacelles are just the ticket .Don't ask me how I know about this . Doesn't nose strut need the oloe scissors .... I do like the operation of the electric gear.

I have been flying my 262 recently and focused on getting the CG right. I personally feel that the 50mm as called out in the build guide is far to nose heavy. Currently I am at 70mm and still have about 3mm up trim on the elevator. It's either still nose heavy or the incidence is out?
