RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Chad, Were you able to read my post before it was removed?

PS This is getting to be hilarious! Now last post is back! I hope we don't lose too many of our brethren over all this spooky fun.
PPS I finally managed to succeed in getting copies of my last two posts for documentation of some of the latest web trickery. We must be patient in this war of attrition. The enemy knows he is losing; but with fanatical determination he will continue to destroy as long as there is any evil strength at all left in him. We must press on for unconditional surrender and victory at all costs!

Ok, got my muffler yesterday. So all my parts are here to start the refit and repaint of my CJM Spitfire. When I start, I post some progress pictures. In its current condition and work as I move along. Cant wait to get this one in the air.

Chad, when I clicked on that URL I got a ''Google Chrome virus page'' that has been very hard to outmaneuver. So, looks like the enemy is continuing to use the old divide and conquer trick. May God bless the Spitfire Brotherhood for continuing to press the attack inspite of overwhelming odds. The fighter threads on Park Flyers & Backyard Flyers have virtually become little more than ''my fighter diary.''

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Chad, you're right. When the PC acts up I get rattled and I called that e-mail address a URL.
When I clicked on your new address the same message popped up again about Google Chrome and I wasn't about to click on it again and fight with the PC for literally hours trying to work around my malware infected machine. I tried again to send a response to your PM from my Google account. With all the security scans I've run eventually we can surely communicate "normally" if our patience holds out.
So far I haven't been able to cut and paste with this little "note book" size PC. I plan to get something larger in the near future.
Gotta break off for now. Too bad because the PC seems to be working now.
Out.
Rich
PS I suspect that a few "too many" people are learning the truth about the suppression of superior energy technology given the increased intensity of hacker attacks. Hopefully, the status quo will eventually yield to the pressure being applied by the unwashed masses.
PPS Just sent an e-mail. Please let me know if you got it.
Attention - the "Churchill statement" typed into Google does not bring up for others what it does for me. "Mad Thorium Batteries" does bring up the Brotherhood for others. The really good Spitfire stuff is found on: "Spitfire Documentary BBC - YouTube" for me at the moment. "The First of the Few," The Man Who Designed the Spitfire, and a whole lot more can be brought up after playing the short documentary.

Here's a question for my Spitfire Brothers: Is the MK VIII airframe the same as the MK XIV?
Here's a question for my Spitfire Brothers: Is the MK VIII airframe the same as the MK XIV?
I think the production models were just beefed up in a couple of areas internally but externally the same.
What, may I ask are you up to?????
Cheers,
Brad

The Mk.VIII is Merlin powered and the Mk.XIV is Griffon powered so they are entirely different from the firewall forward. Beyond that the XIV has a much larger vertical fin and rudder and I'm pretty certain the underwing radiators are substantially larger as well.

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
The reason I asked is that it opens up a huge selection of paint schemes for the YA Spit. Most of the RAAF had MK VIII's in Burma etc so there exists a wide array of airplanes and history to model. If the tail is larger I doubt anyone will notice unless it is a scale event requiring documentation. For us guys who just want to get it close I think it will work. What do you guys think?

Making anything accurately resembling a Mk.VIII out of the Yellow kit would be a pretty steep challenge in my opinion. However, if scale accuracy is not of great importance then I would add that there are many very nice Mk.VIII paint jobs which would look stunning on the Mk.XIV airframe.

Chad, as soon as the "web gods" allow me to receive your address via e-mail you will be sent a self addressed envelope with a check inside. Please keep up the good work and a stiff upper lip regardless of flack or fighters. OUR CAUSE IS JUST AND IS UNSTOPPABLE!
MAD, VERY MAD HU-HU-HU-HU-HO-HO-HO-H0-HA-HA-HA- is the fiendish laugh I have for our enemies. Correct me If I'm wrong but I think most bonafide mad scientists can perform such a spine chilling laugh.

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Just a quick update on DWK and DWO.
Both are flying and flying well. We are still tweaking the engines but so far so good.
Attached is an in flight pic of DWO. Kinda grainy but it looks the part.

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Chad, My order is on its way. Three of your smallest clear decals with white Spit and number 64.
Thanks for your commitment to the Brotherhood and for your patience. I tried again to make Google Chrome work for me and got blasted with malware so bad that I thought for sure my PC was real gonner this time. I even went so far as to copy your address off your letter so I could send you snail mail about my situation. However, in an act of sheer despiration I discovered a different way to get my ailing machine back on the web - famous last words.
Out.
Rich
