Default Top Flite GS P47 COWL BRACKETS NEEDED!

Hello all,

Iwas wondering if anyone might have a spare set of cowl brackets for the Top Flite GS P47 lying around. Ihad a little miss hap today with mine and they are all busted up, so Iwould prefer to replace rather then build new ones. So if any one can help please send me a PM, or shoot me an email at [email protected]

mate buy yourself some 3/4 x 1" aluminium angle from a hardware store. Assume you have and can use a hacksaw? Cut to same width as orignal brakcets. Drill some holes, epoxy and reinforce with glass cloth. Might need to bend slightly to account for angle on cowl flaps.

What has worded well for us is to glue a piece of 1x2 hardwood about 5 inches long to each side of the engine box so that the shallowest point in even with the fuselage sides. Then sand the extending wood flush with the fuse sides.
Now you can attach the cowl to the hardwool where the cowl surface is not angled. Two bolts of you choice on either side and you have it
Best regards
