Default The Sunday "Hack"

Guys

Just wondering what's your favourite "Sunday Hack".. you know, the warbird you always pack in the boot (trunk for my friends across the Pond) to blast around the skies on a nice Sunday afternoon when the wife's out spending all your money?

I had a Black Horse P40 ready for flight till I got offered much more than it was worth.. you know the story (right price.. hell its yours!!!). I just took delivery of a new Black Horse P47 to replace it... Jeez I'm impressed with the quality, so much is pre-installed and despite having made its way from Vietnam to Scotland to replace it.. it arrived totally undamaged and in a better condition than my Hanger 9 150 P51.

Some construction photos to follow soon

Regards

Scott

Ironically, my every Sunday hack has become my Hangar 9 P-51 150.

An old Platt/RCM FW-190-D9 with an 61FX. Runs like a top, flies like it's on rails. Stone simple with 4 channels.

Gotta put retracts in it one of these days....

World Models 80" Zero. With a G45. Super low stress warbird, easy to fly and looks great doing it!

I only have two warbirds, a Black Horse T-28 and Modeltech P-47. Simply due to easy of ground handling with trike gear, I love to take the T-28 to the field much more. I usually have no probs with it and the Saito 82a, plus flying and landing with full flaps is a ball. Jon
