RE: Airworld models. Fw 190 102
I'm ready to fly My fw 190
When trying to balance it needed 14.8 pounds of lead
To make it work
Im doing it straight. Landin gear down And tried inverted same result 14 lbs
We are placing. Our fingers on the wing on the place Kramer showed on the picture wich is 6 1/4 inch from leading edge
Thanks

14 lbs seems like a lot of lead. What do you have mounted aft of the wing saddle in the fuselage? Mine with the moki balances with 0 lead. There is about a 5 lb. difference maybe 6 lb between the 170 and a moki radial. So i can see 6-7 lb of lead but not 14. Hmmm?

I know it sounds crazy. But that's what it takes to balance
What method did you use to balance was it retracts in or out was it inverted or straight up
Thanks

Pedro, perhaps your CG Method is in error. A good way is to mark your CG on the topside of the wing. Slip a sling under wing saddle and suspend the plane at that point with the wing bolted on. You'll be able to tell if it really needs that much weight. If you need 14lbs in the nose then your tail group would be about 4lbs over weight.. think about it

What is in the airplane aft of the wing saddle? On mine with the moki i had one 8611 midway back, and two small mg jr servos in the stabs for the elevator? I want to say it balanced about where the second row of rivits on the fuse aft of the front of tne wing saddle. I will dig out the wings and see. I think i had a mark in them.
