Well here it is this is my Authentic Scale PW R2800 9 cyl engine
The build quality is just first class real attention to detail the machining is superb the fit of all the parts is perfect and wow it looks huge
it looks far bigger than it is those 9 cylinders really make an impact it is only 28.1 cm round but you would swear it was bigger
It also is much lighter than it looks , very easy to hold in one hand i love the rocker covers very nice detail as are the pushrod tubes
The packing it came in was the best i have ever seen it arrived it a large wood crate with the engine bolted down so it had no chance of moving the packing material (wood fiber)
kept every thing else from moving around all the plug leads are numbered for each cylinder as are all the connections on the power box the included electric fuel pump looks like it could feed 2 engines with fuel i am getting a test stand ready to mount the engine on and start it up i can't wait to hear it
i will post links to vids when i have them so you can follow it
as to the price? well i have seen Moki engines and this is in another league the quality is far far better the fit is perfect , stainless exhaust. It is more than worth it, these engines are more like the ones people spend years making in their spare time not one that you can get over the counter the guys at A.S have done the impossible brought elite engines to the people Well done

Hi Vatechguy3,
Thank you for asking. sorry about the late reply - not much time to keep up with all media. Yes, the engine has been released for sale and can be ordered either through a dealer or directly from Pegasus website. It will be sold as Pegasus R9-200cc. we have delivered all our prepaid engines and should keep assembling more for delivery in April. with 32x16 is going 4,400 RPM and with 32x18 is doing 4,100 RPM

Hi Guy,
Just found your thread about Authentic Scale 200cc radial engine, It been a long time in the making as you can imagine completing an engine of this magnitude!
I finally have them in! Here is a link to my website and you tube video: http://www.ibcinyourc.com/store.php?...=12&pd=7988620

I wish you guys could make it to the IMA a giant scale warbird airshow at Castle Air Force Base. It is in Atwater California. It is a four day long event and in my opinion one of the best shows in California by far. It and I believe the last week in May

Gentlemen,
can you let me know if there are distributors in Europe for the R9 engine. Separately, Gary mentioned in another thread that the engine had been installed on a CARF Corsair. To the extent someone has pictures of such an instal, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Hi Fredd,
Please contact Chris Kamann in Germany at www.fun-modellbau.de He speaks English well.
His Email is: [email protected]
His phone number (in Germany): (+49) 0521176987
Dino Di Giorgio in Florida (owner of Meister planes) did the installation of the engine in the CARF Corsair. Frank Tianno (Top Gun) as well. I can look into my files if I saved any pics. Let me know your Email and I will reply. Contact me at: [email protected]

Hello, I have a few further questions :
1) what is the weight of the engine with ignition and pump (but without batteries and hub/blades). The site mentions 13 lbs but I'm not sure what is included. This is relevant as we are restricted in Europe to 25kg fully fuelled which makes weight questions of individual components important. I'm hoping it is close to the Moki 250 (with fuel pump).
2) do you recommend 5.9v or 7.4v stabilised for pump and ignition.
3) do you recommend a T after the fuel pump with a return to the fuel pump
4) are you planning in the future on producing 32 inch blades.
thanks
Frederic

I hope to be wrong but I wonder if they are still in business. The Pegasus Engine site doesn't work, authentic scale doesn't respond to emails and the above contact for Pegasus in Germany is non responsive. It looked like a great product so I hope they are still operating and able to improve customer service.

well, as it happens, I got yesterday an email from Antonio Silva. He provided all the relevant information. It appears that his emails from another server never got through. Hopefully, he can provide an update here.
