I am shocked that no one has jumped on this for $300.00; that is a steal!

I know, that sort of warbird is not really my thing otherwise I would have jumped on it. Still thinking about getting it and then listing it here. I was hoping that by pointing it out someone would get to it before I do LOL

HI HoundDog,

It's the TF Giant Scale ARC (87")

Cowl has nice cooling as the air pushes out through the back of it. The split doors was the idea of a mates and it worked really well and looks good. Tail doors were from Terry Farmer of Wiley Warbirds.

Here are some photos I have. Hope this is what you were after.

Cheers

Jeremy

Thanks for the info!

The cowl flaps are molded in the open position. That is how the come from the factory. On mine, no additional openings were required except for the exhaust tube coming out of the muffler. No overheating at all.

Thanks Jeremy_D & Lifer Some one commented that the thought i needed more cowl openings On my TF 85" G-62 powered TARHEEL HAL ... But in the five or six flights it made It hasn't over heated (I HOPE) ... Anyway next time it flies it will have Cylinder Head Temp thru my HiTec RCD Aurora 9. I take the Engine Temp and Modify a terminal connector from ACE Hardware ro fit tightly on the spark plug or in the case of the G-62 there is a tapped hole in the top of the head where I'm going to connect the Engine Temp Probe to pick up Cylinder head temp instead of Engine Temp. Now if some one mad a single probe or twin probe EGT and a way to adjust the mixture in flight ... OH well Then I'd need a Flight Engineer.

I have always used the rule of double the outlet air as compared to inlet air. Makes for good positive flow and has worked well for me.

Should also state, it's not all about how much outflow you need to make, but closing up on the inlet end. Just saying.
