Hello Jimmy,
You make an incredible job on the La-7... continue so! The result is perfect, and i Wonder to see the maiden.
After balance and final assembly, give me please your final weight.
For me, the Lavotchkin will be ready this afternoon. I send you some details pictures about the result this week-end. The maiden will go next week, this time we have some rainy day...
In the german forum about the Cy Model La-7, i find an info about the deflection about the control surface:
- for elevators, +/- 6 cm at largest point.
- for ailerons +4.5 cm / -3.5 cm at point near the flaps.
- 25-35 % expo on elevator and aileron
- CG is confirmed at 195mm measured on fuselage side (as discussed previously)
See you soon.

Thanks BobH....this may be the last year Dino has his event at this field. According to Rex, the GMA has been fighting over the last three years to keep their field. We all hate to see them lose it because they have so much invested to make it the great place that it is. Anyway it's my 4th year to go and it's a great event. I'm sure you would keep it on your calendar if you can make it 😃👍

Jimmy,
My Lavotchkin final weight is 15.4kg, dry, without pilot and cockpit. I add for the maiden 250gr lead on the motor mount, this for safety, but after i will remove the lead.
My Saito is already broken in, i have make this last year after many intake modification that i have self engineered. My Saito swing a Mejzlik 24x12 2 blades at 6200 rpm/min.
If weather is good on freiday afternoon, i maiden it.
Will see, stay online.
You do an great job on your Lavotchkin, I can not wait to see your final weight, final setup, and the maiden!
