Since there is no manual, as far as I know of, can anyone tell me what this pin on the belly tank is for???

That holds the two posts in that the tank mounts too. You should have two brackets that screw to the tank and bolt to those posts.

thanks, I googled it last night and the rod on the belly pod isn’t even mentioned so it must be irrelevant

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think you will need to add any weight on the nose with this setup.

that’s not my method Sparky....first up and last down and landing with a half tank
