First off I'm not looking for a flame fest I realize there has been a lot of "Bad" blood concerning this topic.
I'm simply interested in finding out a couple of things:
1. Did anyone that hadn't receive a model from NWHT before they went bankrupt ever get there order or money back?
2. Has anyone purchased and received a model?
3. If so I would be intrested in anything you have to say.

I did not get my order before NWHT went bankrupt[:'(]. I did not receive anything but empty promises from NWHT[
]. I did, thanks to info on RCU, get my money back from my credit card company[8D] after alot of hassle[:'(]. I consider myself lucky
and would never put down more than a token deposit on anything

I never received my kit that I ordered from NWHT, nor did I get refunded. After Jack took over, I asked if he was going to honor my order, and he said he was not obligated to do so. I don't think he is responsible to fullfill that order, but I am disappointed that he did not, or even try to work something out. Jack offered to sell me a kit for the old NWHT price ($250 vs $300), but I thought $500 (the $250 I originally paid + an additional $250) was too much to spend on an 80" standoff scale model.
I have plenty of kits waiting to be built, so I am not looking for a kit in the range that he sells. Will I buy a kit from Jack in the future? I dunno, maybe.

I ordered a Zero from NWHT in February and received it in early July just a week or two before I heard about the bankruptcy. I think I must have gotten one of the last kits shipped. I have not had any dealings with Jack Devine models but I hope he is able to make that venture succeed.

I have a list of names of folks that paid for kits from Jack, and are still waiting for either partial or full kits. He owes me at least four kits. I have at least one guy who left a kit with Jack two years ago with all gear, this was to be built by Jack. This fellow is still waiting and can't get any response. As the webmaster for the Jack Devine Models website, when the communications from Jack stopped I was deluged with letters of this type, some from some well-known names in R/C. I won't write another thing about this situation in this thread, because the Mods want this kind of stuff kept to a minimum, and I agree with that. Therefore, if anybody wishes to know anything else about this they can email me and I'll be happy to expand upon this. Here's my E-mail address (it's new):

Actually,
GeeBeeJimbo is spot on. I ordered a GBZ from Jack Devine in Nov 2003. At the time I ordered the kit, he told me I would have it by Christmas. Over the course of the following three months he told me on at least three separate occasions he was ready to ship my kit. He actually told me the kit was boxed and being picked up by UPS (twice!). Of course nothing arrived. After the third incident I e-mailed him multiple times with no replies. Only after I aired my grievance in a public forum and cancelled the order did a kit arrive, over three months late.
Some people procrastinate, and some aren't good businessmen. I can't tolerate liars, though.
There are just too many other sources for kits of the planes he sells to throw money his way. I'd prefer he goes the way of NWHT.
