piccies of todays mischief. Not a lot to show for 10 hours of work. [:-]

Started laying out on other fuz side, that work is about 25% done as is some of the riveting.

I'll be dreaming of rivets tonight.[sm=punching.gif]

Pete

Go out and get some rubber mats for your shop.I had the same problem with my legs. Your feet and back are going to ache next.[:'(]
A tall bar stool with the legs cut off to fit your height is also a nice thing to have. I have 2 at different heights.
I took me almost two weeks to rivet my fuse. Had mine on a rotisserie which helped to hold it in awkward positions.

Bad news.

I taught I had the closing lever figured out. NOT![&o]
When I put all the peaces on for a final check it didn't want to close all the way. Did some tweaking and made it worse.
Made some new levers with dual springs and activating arms. That didn't work any better plus they were binding.
So after some taught I went to sanding the polly off of the rudder and the elevators and put the first coat of primer on them.
Got some new Ideas on the lever while I was sanding. It involves soldering.I'll try a prototype today.

Good news.

I changed the setup. Straightened out the lever. Stiffened it up by soldering two cross braces and changed the linkage for adjust ability.

Now it works good. I took it apart and put it back together 3 times on each side and it worked right every time.

Yes!!!!! [sm=49_49.gif][sm=shades_smile.gif][sm=wink_smile.gif][sm=regular_smile.gif]

Youve probably thought of this but

Here is a new conversation peace. Yes I do get bored easily.
I have taught about this since I saw Pete making raised panels with putty.
This looked like less work. Furnace tape from the hardware store.Where they know me by my first name. HE HE.
I just wonder what it will look like after a coat of primer.Should only need one.
What do you guys think?

BobT
It is only .0035 thick.I believe it to be lighter then putty. May even be lighter then primer that thick.
If I had a gram scale I would weigh it. Right now I'm just guessing.

Did You fire up the RCGF-26 or the P47 yet?

BobT

dunno,

the fun police censor struck again [&o]

seems a bee is not allowed to have certain appendenges for the purpose of continuing their respective blood lines. Nor are we allowed to make mention of such.

yawn!

take it from me though that the bee's appendenge is quite small and the the thickness of the putty when sanded is in proprortion to said bee's appendage. Now an appendange could be any bodily part that may or may not protrude. As to a specific part the reader can use their own imagaination.

I think the blade putty and the aluminum must weigh the same. I had a bumble bee flying around in the shop yesterday.[sm=lol.gif]

Have the 47 re balanced so as sone as the weather and days off line up will try for a maiden, also ready to madin the old dragon lady, the rebuilt cub, and just fly the corsair big problem is the weather wind and rain[&o]

Thanks Ray for the complement. However this plane won't hold a candle to Ron's plane or even Pete's. Everything I have done on this plane is a challenge to myself just to see if I can do it.
I started out building a flyer and it turned into a somewhat of a scale model. He He. It is still going to be a fun model and not a competition piece.
I'll be Flying over England and will be landing in Amsterdam on May-11. Send the 47 up to say hi.
