Default Top Flight .60 Size P47 Construction Question

I'm in the process of building the top half of the fuselage and have encountered an instruction that I can't make sense of. I'm hoping someone will be able to explain it for me.
I'm on page 19 of the manual, instruction #13.
It says "Glue a 1-1/4" wide strip of 3/32" balsa to the cockpit sides joining the front deck. Refer to the cross section and side view on the plans."
I can't see anything on the plans in the cockpit area that measures 1-1/4".
I have already removed the existing deck, as per instructions, because I'm going to install the cockpit kit.
For the life of me, I can't figure out where the 1-1/4" wide strips of 3/32" balsa need to go.
I would appreciate any help from someone who has built this kit.
Thanks,
Mike

Default RE: Top Flight .60 Size P47 Construction Question

You sound just like me last week. After a couple hours looking from every angle and tying my brain in a knot, I decided the meant that the strips should be fitted to run from the rear of the cockpit to the insturment panel on each side. So I cut them to the proper length to fit, moistened one side to get the proper curve and glued them in. I am not sure how the cockpit kit will fit, but will cross that bridge when I come to it. There are a lot of these kits out there and I hope some one can set us straight yet.
