Default Cowl Covering

Hello,

This is my first time posting at rcuniverse. I am currently building the Top Flite P-51D Gold edition Mustang. The box photo shows a black and white checkered cowl covering. I've been searching around, but can't find such a cowl covering. Does anyone know where I could buy it?

Thanks

Hello J421,
I am also building this kit The intructions say it's painted on. As far as I know the checkered covering doesn't exist, however someone here may know otherwise. How far along are you? Got any pics of your build? I'm about 3/4ths finished with mine, Still trying to decide how to power it.
Good luck, Carver

I built and first flew my TF P-51 back in 1997, Monokote with a painted anti glare panel and painted lower cowl. I Monokoted the nose white, then drew the pattern on the nose. Next I made small paper templates for each black square and then cut them out of black Monokote, it's worth the work. Still flying this thing!
