Hi Guys,
I am considering building a Dave Platt Spitfire. I decided to build the horizontal stabilizer and elevator 1 st, and then decide whether to go ahead and build the whole thing. My question is how to shape the leading edge of the 45 degree tip section of each elevator. If I leave it flat it blends in well with the stab at neutral but presents a flat face to the breeze when deflected. If I round it it does not match the stab as well. What is the correct way to shape this? I hope this makes sense.
Also, does anyone have any experience with Dave Platt retracts? Does he make his own retracts , or does he sell someone Else's?

Jim, as I recall this portion of the elevator has a small radius top and bottom but remains flat for most of its' width. I will try and find a good pic to post here that shows this. It really is not all that neat on the full size airplane believe it or not.
