Steve at this point depending on what I find in the wing it may jut fly again, but will not spend any more time on the fuse till I know what to be done within the wing First tasks will be to pull all of the gear out, next will be to pull the covering, and then the repairs, as with the fuse I found a lot more repair than it looked like. the plastic covering hides a lot,

When I broke my first Corsair it did not look to bad, but on opening the covering, it was like looking into a bag with a lot of cracked parts. So we will just have to see. may get to it tomarrow afternoon, Have to go see one of my grand kids get confirmed in to the church, and most of the rest of today is yard clean up as getting ready for old man winter ( BA Hum Bug )

Hope everything is good with it, Bob.
Mine has been put on the back burner with other projects. Assembled an ARF glider for my son, rebuilt my E700 heli, and to satisfy my need for a big gasser, I acquired a Weeks Solution X from a club member. The airframe is in great shape, but it had underpowered, outdated servos and too much 26g wiring, so I installed new digital servos, heavy duty extensions while cleaning up the wiring and reducing all that was there. It had all four aileron servos operating on one channel off of a combination of three y harness, and two extensions. I plan to fly it a few times before winter, then I am going to re-cover it and update a few other things, before I get back to work on the Corsair.

Well a bit of an up date on my Corsair All of the fuse structure repair has been completed horizontal stab is back in place and vary solid, I have picked all of the plastic covering off, the sheeting that has to be replaced will wait till I have the wing covering pulled and a few dings repaired. I have decided not to recover with plastic, will be glassing using West System epoxy and .6 oz cloth.
I still have my Weeks bipe repair to finish, and have been working on it while waiting for glue to dry on the Corsair, so along ways to go on both.

I am still in the old grove 1 Rx on 2.4 with 8 chnl's seams to be working good for me, but with this repair I may change out all of the wiring to heavy duty in the fuse, wing is already H/D will also be getting rid of the NIMH bat and will be going with a A-123 but the way this repair is going that's a long way off.

Well another up date on the Corsair, I have managed to get about 90 % of the plastic S#$T covering off and got in a good inspection of the wing structure. found a big ding in the leading edge, some sheeting popped loose, a small ding in a wing tip. So the repair has started used a needle and syringe to put glue under the sheeting ware needed and weighted sheeting down, and seams to be good, working on the leading edge. had to cut all of the Robart hinge pins on all of the ailerons and flaps and then get the stubs out ( used a brass tube with teeth cut in the end ) worked good. then filled the holes with some real hard balsa sanded to fit.
With the hinge lines exposed I may lay a piece of 1/32 ply on the upper surfaces to close them, will have to see if I can make a jig that will let take off the 32 on the sheeting ( got the idea from another thread ) so will have to make a test sample before going to the corsair.
Well that it from fly over land.

Hey RT,
Well I can honestly say that the Corsair is DONE, everything is in and works, all I need to do is put a prop on & balance it,and hopefully that will take place in a week or two, then wait till Spring for the maiden.

RT,
I don't have to start a thread on the Waco there is one already in use,
at the top of this or any page click on "Forum" then scroll down till you see Golden age,Vintage & Antique RC,click on that and you will see
"WACO YMF" by Stickbuilder this is where I'll be posting my build.
On another note,
I have to go back in here & look for instructions on how to post pictures in the thread once I get that I'll put a few up for you.
I won't be starting for a week or two but I'll let you know.

Hey RT,
Boy this thread has really changed over the years,I can remember when there were guys in here all different times of the day, posting and putting up pictures of the their building progress. Now we would be lucky if someone puts a post in once a week.

True. But the official build season is just starting for many. I think I'll be getting back into mine next, and will certainly post the build here. But your right, it has dwindled.

Hi All
As I have said I am in the repair mode with mine, finaly got all of the plastic covering off, all structure repair is done a bit of sheeting on the fuse to go. I did not save my drill jigs for drilling the flap hinge bins so I am into that and what pain in the er se that is hopeing to get it ready for glassing by Christmas then it will go on the shelf so I can get my Weeks bipe back ready for paint and if all goes well I might ever get to start my cub bash, but time will tell.
BTW I have not taken any pic's of the repairs they are just to boring.
I do hope we get some new guys in this thread.
Cheers Bob T

As no one is posting, I will give a bit of an up date. the wing is now ready to glass, the hardest part was getting the flap pin holes back in the right place's what a PITA, all is good now. the fuse is complete except for finishing the wing saddle, so just a few more hrs and it can go on the shelf, so I can get the week's done and will do what glassing on both at the same time then it is paint.
That about it for now

I don't have anything to post on my recent build so I will just send a few pics of the horizontal stab and elevator balance tab for those that need a closer look.
if anyone has any need of a specific request then I may have a photo of that as well.
