Mannn I just spent a little over 400 bucks on last years dentist and Dr. bills that the insurance company did not pay. I hope I will be able to get enough money now the get the plane . I know my health is worth more than these r/c planes but man I was doing good with saving up my money for the p-47.

Hi rawdog.
I am sorry to hear that you have to spent that kind of money on to that Here in DK, the health care system is financed by all the taxpayers, witch I think is fine. But going to dentist, can be verry expensive [:'(]

I hope you one day can get the P47, its a dam good airplane in every way

I had once been in Tenn. That was in Greeneville, over at the east end of the state by the Smokey moutains. Thats a very nice place.

Regards Tomas Andersen. Denmark,Skandinavia.

Well I talked to my wife and she still said get it. She said just put it on a credit card like I was going to do at first. She is very understanding. She likes this plane cause it is different everybody down here has hellcats, p-51's, p-40, or corsair's. Plus I really want to make it into red tip p-47, like the tuskegee airmen. I am happy again. I am still going to try and save some money so that I do not have to put it all on a credit card.

Rawdog.

Yes the "Bolt" is somthing of its own. I think it represents POWER,lot of it ,as a big hammer!!

Now did the Tuskgee airmen fly the P47 ?

By the way, can you still get em Bolts from H 9 ?

GO AND GET ONE IF YOU CAN.

Hi Guys,

My Hangar P-47 (150) is finished now and had his maidenflight yesterday.
Engine; Laser 240-V twin.
Engine Cowl, placed more forward (as far as possible) on thicker blocks for more Air-flow (cooling) + 2 extra tubes, below, through the Fire-wall.
Retracts; Kit-set, with larger wheels (Dubro 4" ), I had to enlarge the wheel-wells, and the retracts are a little bit canted forwards.
Extra servo and push-rod for the Tailwheel.
Separate battery for the retract Servos.

regards,

Jan

Dear Jan
The P47 looks very nice indeed, a friend of mine let me fly his at Barkston Heath.
I must admit the P47 flew beautifully, very easy to take off and land.

The pictures of your P47 look superb, I hope one day our paths will cross.

Regards Phil G.

Tuskegee airmen did fly the p-47's it is in the history books and in their webpage. Now they did not fly them as much as the p-51 but they did fly them along with a few other WWII birds.

Hi Pete,

the flying weight with, original kit-retracts, 2x 350cc(2x 14 oz) fuel, 1x reciever,11 servos, 2 batteries (1x6V.extern for the retract servos), 2 switches, 2 bombs, droptank and Pilot =18lb.

No trouble for the Laser 240-Vtwin at all (18x11 prop at 7800 RPM), and the engine (straight up mounted, not inverted) and silencersfits in the cowl splendid, still with a lot of space around.
Landing is no problem with flaps.

kind regards,
Jan

Hello all........

David...

Why not offer the plane w/o the retracts???
I am sure that would make the price more attractive..???

Yeah, the dollar is crap right now, and China is getting like Japan was30 years ago.....
Good quality , and then a increase in wages....

When will you guys start moving you facillities over to Veitnam like Seagull modles has done??
(I think that is were they are making them)??

It does not show that the p-47 is available online though, I think they are only contacting the backorder sales first. The p-51 150 is now available for sale now.

Well it is set to be here on 7/7. I can not wait. I plan on getting it ready for a fly-in on 8-15. I am going to redo the tail in a Tuskegee redtail. Here is a sample picture of how I will probably do it.

Hi Rowdog.
I am glad you finally got the chance of getting the p 47.

I am sure,if you line it up the true way, you will have a werry nice flying warbird.

I had a lot of flying with my P47 yesterday, and I had a great time, but there was a lot of bugs in the air that was stikking to the leading edge,so I had to clean off the remains after every fligth[:'(]

My stock UC. is operating just fine on my P 47,but we allso got good runway conditions in my club.

Rowdog, sure go for the red paintscheme for your P47,that will be somthing new as well[8D]

What do you else fly for every day use in your club?

Best regards,

Tomas.

Tometermas,

On a everyday bases I fly a great planes revolver with a evolution .45 engine. It is a great flyer and I love it. I purchased a new top flite staggerwing with about 8 flights on it now. The staggerwing flys great but I do not see myself flying it on a everyday/weekend bases. IT LOOKS TO GOOD. The p-47 should be in today, I can not wait. Both the staggerwing and the p-47 will be event flyers mainly. Our website is MTRCS.com check it my revolver, staggerwing and gee bee in on there.

I also have a supertigre 2300 engine that I was going to put in the staggerwing and wound up putting a OS 160 in it, so I was going to put the ST 2300 in the P-47 but I purchased OS 160 to put in it too. I am still trying to find a very cheap giant scale or a 120-140 plane that I can put the ST 2300 in.

I also have a saito 100 that I want to put in the hangar 9 hellcat. I was going to get the hellcat first but after seeing that hangar 9 was going to come back out with the p-47 I put the hellcat on the backburner.

Glad you got your p-47 I am almost finished with my second one here just waiting for the retracts to come in so I can install them and then go flying. You will more then likely really like the way the plane flys if you set it up the way it says in the book.

I have the hangar 9 p-40 and the corsair and have satio 100's in both of them and they fly like a dream. I just love flying them as well as my P-47 ,but it is mainly just for events and not my everyday flyer

Did anybody have trouble with the wing tub being very hard to get in and out of the wings. I put the wings off and almost smashed the fuselage because I could not get the wings off. How did you all fix this.

Hi Rowdog.
What do you mean,is it the tupe that conect the wing halves, or is it where the wings fit in ?

If its the tube,I sanded mine a littel bit , and that seems to help.

What motor will you be useing ?

Tomas.[8D]
